    Lion Heart Castle

    What is Lion Heart Castle?
    • Lion Heart Castle (LHC) is a place where you can grind high-level mobs with up to 5 of your other friends.
    • Each monster has millions of HP and give amazing EXP.
    • Each person in your party presented on the map will receive an additional 50% exp, potentially up to 250% exp.

    PROS:

    - Supports Class Diversity
    - Party Play Feature
    - Team Work Effort
    - Money Sink for Potions
    - Discourages Leeching
    - Extremely Popular in GMS
    - Long-Lasting Content (Players will use it frequently)
    - Supports Community Interaction

    CONS:

    - Harms v62 Nostalgia Principal
    - Difficult to Code (Tweaking Required)
    - Discourages Diverse Training Areas (Solo)
    - Bishop Leech = Uncommon

Lion Heart Castle (Or LHC for short) was a moderately high level training ground in GMS where party play was implemented to promote parties of 6 people to train in a singular map and fight "boss like" monsters with high amounts of HP and gave a considerable amount of experience when paired with the party play system. LHC was looked at as the best implementation to the game by Nexon by many.

    LHC w
as released in GMS in 2011 and was a very popular spot to train from 110 - 160+. It was implemented as a preface to the Von Leon boss. It was a unique training spot due to the party play system (that gave increased rates per party member) and the overall need for parties to have SE,HS,DPS,Mobbing, and a boss party like structure to train efficiently. For me and many others that played at the time, it was a great experience. The training always felt different than training on regular mobs, as a whole party had to work together to kill a group of monsters in the map. There were also a multitude of safe spots on the maps to encourage socialization in-between training sessions.
    Current Issues:
    • There are currently few efficient end game grinding spots in Royals.
    • End game maps do not foster any sort of party play. And the only viable maps are for melee classes can only support two players at once and is solo'd by most high level players.
    • Ranged classes such as BM and NL's have no reasonable grinding areas and resort to bossing for exp. (How many times can you really kill Krexel?)
    Plausibility:
    • Royals is based off of a 2008 version of MapleStory with certain features going up to 2010 versions such as Ellin Forest, ToT, Cwkpq, Neo Tokyo, Ulu/Krex, etc. LHC was released in 2011 and would be the latest version of GMS ML has ever taken an idea from.

I understand that the only reason that this private server is successful is because of the nostalgia that we all feel while playing. I also understand that this is very opinionated. I also understand that GM's air on the side of caution when releasing content that strays from "Old school MapleStory". I was just looking back on all of the fond memories I had at LHC and how community driven the whole experience of it was. Just thought that I would resurface this idea in the form of Feedback.
