New Leaf City Storage NPC causing item to be missing

Here is the bug i have encountered.

1) I have received White Scroll from Gacha.
2) Storage NPC has One White Scroll stored previously
3) Attempt to store new attainted White Scroll
4) Received Stored message
5) White Scroll remains as One and not stacked to Two
