Hiya, a few friends wanted to enjoy some nostalgia maple and unfortunately I seem to be the wet blanket of the group as I'm having some .exe trouble.

    OS: Win 10 Pro (64-bit)
Setup(s) used: MapleRoyalsSetup140419 (Tried two different download links in-case something got corrupted etc.)

So anti-virus (Avast) was disabled upon install & also made sure to exclude the installation path as well in-case the shields came back on later (I set it to disable until restart).

Running the MapleRoyals.exe normally, in admin mode, in all compatibility modes, all result in the following error. Error code: -2147467259 (Unspecified Error).

Now, for some reason MapleRoyalsFullScreen.exe runs fine.. Except it forces me of course into full screen and even when using the in-game Settings menu to use "Window Mode" or even try Alt + Enter it will not switch to Window mode..

The only thing I can think of is maybe something weird being in my registry from playing retail (GMS)? Not sure if that's ever an issue.. Otherwise not sure what's causing the normal MapleRoyal.exe to run but if anyone has any ideas I'm down to try it!

    Thank you!

Have you checked your display refresh rate and set it to 60 Hz?

.. What the HELL lmao. I had no idea my monitors were set to 59... Always assumed 60 was my default. That fixed it, very neat. Thanks Muff!
