Good Morning Family! I have been desperate for some Maple nostalgia lately and was thinking of coming back to Royals for the first time in a very, very long time. Any advice? What class to focus on? How to play/enjoy the game? I have historically loved Sin and Cleric, but am open to other things. Ideally, I'd like recommendations on something that is a bit easier and avoids HP washing (not that I'll end of getting to bosses anyways. Lol). Thank you for your time!
If you want to play for nostalgia, I'd recommend ignoring any meta or washing or anything and just playing whatever sounds fun. I'd also note that they did add a repeatable daily quest that increases maximum HP. So if you ignore HP washing, play for some good nostalgic fun but then get to a high level and decide you want to tryhard, you don't need to restart. You can simply start doing quests for HP.
Shadower. Best decision i made, they are great right now, Barely needs hp washing, that was a big plus for me
This is amazing! Thank you very much. I love hearing the addition of a quest. Can low levels do it yet? What are the details on this quest specifically? Also, more importantly, I want something that does alright on it's own throughout lvls 1-70 or so. Any recommendations on something that will be both satisfying and not too challenging?
I think the quest starts at 120? There should be a guide on it in the guides section. I just leveled a dark knight recently which was a ton of fun, although their 70+ I think is much better than 30-70 since they don't get anything besides generic slash blast until 3rd job. I remember loving bandit and I/L mage for those levels back in the day, although I haven't made either in royals
dont give your new char any funds, don't add anyone from your buddy list and make a max steal bandit and go out and hunt your own items and scrolls as much as possible, pq and build your char up from scratch as much as possible. this was the best way to explore and experience the nostalgia for me when i joined. let everything unfold organically, ignore the meta trends and gear worship, you can worry about that much later
