Hi Maplers! I’ve just begun to play Maplestory again in general. Glad to see populated private servers still running! I’ve been doing a lot of forum browsing which ultimately led me to second guess my first choice of class to play. Usually I always played DK on Maple. However if I were to play for the long run and to self fund would creating a Bishop first be mandatory? Or would there be just as much sufficient and efficient ways to make mesos without leveling a Bishop to sell leech? Thanks! J
A bishop is probably the most efficient character for making mesos (whether it be leech or farming), but you will not need one to be sufficient. There are still other ways you can make a respectable amount of mesos (30~50m per hour). Sure it's not as high as selling leech (60m-80m/hour), but it may not be worth the effort of leveling a 130+ funded bishop if you do not enjoy playing the class. that is my opinion
I fully agree with this. I'd say a Bishop is only necessary in 3 occasions: You want to play a Bishop You want to be able to leech yourself You want to make crazy money's (by leeching others) But other than this, I'd say you just make your DK. You can always decide to make a Bish anyways anytime in the future
It really depends what level of the game you want to reach and the time frame you want to reach it. Do you just want to play casually with friends and guildies and aren't concerned with optimal play or end game? Make your DK. Trying to do end game bosses asap, HP wash for zerking everywhere, and min/max stats? Making a Bishop or Mage + HS mule to self leech or sell leech for funds is basically required. There are other ways to make money but they are almost all inferior for time spent to money earned. DK is quite easy to fund and are a great class to start with regardless.
