Hello. lmao i haven't played this game in like forever (wait, does my opinion still count tho) but I was reading something on one of the discord groups that I was in and then an idea popped into my head about all those fools who get banned for vote abuse. so like i know that MR kinda has this zero tolerance policy about vote abuse and people who are caught are insta-banned forever depending on the severity but i was thinking what about just taking away the 8k NX gained from future votes? so like instead of getting banned their future votes wouldn't give them nx anymore. i mean i guess people are banned because of all the stuff theyve gained from doing vote abuse and its hard to reverse those effects/advantages which might justify a ban but idk man. thinking again there are a lot of loopholes and flaws to this idea but i just wanted to put it out there. maybe it could be implemented in a different way? lol idk if this is even implementable(?) or maybe this could be used as a different punishment? rather than bans? or not at all. lol. thanks for coming to my ted talk Spoiler: yikes inb4 pro-gamer terms&conditions-abiding community members of MR roast my idea and prove me completely wrong
Lol what you talking prevent them from voting instead getting ban? Simple, they make another account man. Think GM too free to prevent player from getting nx cause they vote abuse? The rules hasn't change abit from what I know, you either vote 24 hour per account or vote many accounts in 24 hours and get ban. Seem fair, imagine a player only vote 1 account gets 8k and a vote abuse get 80k nx in 1 day from voting 10 accounts. So what's new punishment you toking?
The punishment is as light as inviting every players to abuse the system until they get caught. Maybe you underestimated the creativeness of abusers, taking away 8k NX wont make them stop creating new accounts and multi vote.
To ban them or to rollback their NX, these are different. For example, if one got several billions of mesos, it will benefit a lot in the beginning life. He/She can buy good enough stuff to sell leech or to do Zak/HT. You can't estimate how much it will benefit to do these illegal actions. On the other hand, I don't think those people will save so many NX.
Not possible. The only modification I can foresee (if we even do it) is a permanent ban on first offence, regardless of the amount gained. We won't lax the rule any further than what it currently is.
I think that a 30 day ban for serious abuse is justified, It will be a lesson learned and will prevent further abuse. Many players I know good honest players made a mistake and I feel like a permanent ban is a bit unfair considering know one actually knows what is considered "Serious abuse" when it comes to voting. Many players especially new ones who don't read the T&C don't even know its against the rules.
well and I think that perma ban and slap in the face for any scale of vote abuse it justified.. what's with all those feedbacks lately about tone down the rules and punishment i mean seriously!! all of you want this server to be over flood with botters/cheaters, abusers, a**holes and turn this server into another hands off server where GMs don't give a shit? calm down and keep the rules as they are!
Let's lessen ban lengths to cater to players who didn't bother to read the rules despite having agreed to them!
Sorry thats just my opinion that you may not agree with. I believe in 2nd chances, People agree too things all the time without reading the rules. Im pretty sure even you have agreed to a games T&C without reading the entire thing even im guilty of that many times over. There are just some things like vote abuse specifically that I feel the Admins should have a more lenient position on given that it doesn't even state that you specifically as a person can only vote once per 24 hours no matter how many accounts you have. "6. Vote Abuse - The act of attempting to, or successfully, bypassing the restrictions of voting no more than once per 24 hours. Punishment: First offense - 14 day ban, Second offense - Permanent ban. Please be aware that, in cases of severe abuse as per discretion of staff, we reserve the right to respond with a permanent ban regardless of if it is your first offense." 1. Does not state that you as person are given 1 vote no matter how many accounts you have. 2. Does not state what accounts as "Severe abuse". So as a new player or even older players who even read the rules you can see where this gets a bit confusing. I know you were a previous Gm Eli but honestly look at it from the perspective of a new player who looks at this and says to themselves, I can just make more accounts and vote on those because it doesn't specifically state that I cant. I have had people in previous guilds even state that they didn't know it was breaking the rules, I have seen ban appeals state the same, sure some could be lying but you have to consider that some may not know that they couldn't make multiple accounts. So we can take steps to help alleviate this issue by doing a couple things 1. Making it clear that you as a person cannot vote more than 1 time per day no matter how many accounts you have. 2. Give previous players who vote abused another chance at playing the game. If they break the rule again then its permanent. 3. Also give players who vote abused negative nx balances so they have to work for to create a positive one, so they can use nx again also removing their chances of gaining nx through bossing. (probably not possible, even though it probably is possible and would come up with some bullshit excuse like "its a client limitation") Some people may not like this opinion, but I myself think we can be a bit reasonable when it comes to things like vote abuse, being listed as a moderate infraction no less. I would not fight for something like this if it were something as serious. I know that vote abusers can cause economic implications but I feel as though some things I listed could be some good changes to how the system currently works. Again just an opinion.
lol I'd vote abuse hard if it was only a 30day ban... imagine how OP you can get before you get banned and you only have to wait 30 days before enjoying it all? I think heavy vote abusers (whatever gms believe to be heavy) are punished just fine
bruh idr making this post i probably wasn't in the right state of mind sorry yall lmfao thanks for roasting me i dont even play this game anymore gm you can close this sorry
People not reading terms and conditions or similar is, I think, not the debate. Rather, what is in question is whether those selfsame people accept that ignorance of the rules as written is their problem or not. Ignorantia juris non excusat.
