Hello sirs I have thought of a new seasonal event for maple royals. So for the event you would need to farm untradeable crates/boxes called Royals SummerSet box or WinterSet box. Here are my ideas for how it will work and what will be in it. Why: - Most events only bring mesos into the server, this one only takes mesos out. - I have read a few posts on the forums about people wanting "high" quality NX without donating and I think this may be a viable option. - I read a post saying matt dislikes the idea of putting in to much "high" quality NX for non donators. This makes sense, gotta give $$$ to be pretty and cutie. But people do love new nx and I do not think this event will take much away from potential sales but Matt sir will have to figure out if this is true. How: - Player farms an untradeable box from bosses or mobs (maybe just minibosses and bosses so people don't just ulu to get the crates that is boring). Drop rate should be pretty high and the crates should stack. - Player takes box to a NPC and asks to open the box. - Player gives 1 box and some amount of mesos to open it, I am thinking 50m might be fine. - The NPC will give the play a random untradeable item off the summerset loot table. The loot table has items ranging from commons to hyper rare or something. Example loot table (EVERYTHING IS UNTRADEABLE): Commons high % chance of getting and most likely all your going to get: Some inconsequential items like those hair pins from whatever event. They should be themed to the box, so if it is winter make it wintery items and if it is summer make it summery items. Rares low % chance of getting: Maybe a set or two of cute unique items available only from this event. Probably best if the set has multiple items like a hat/shoes/glove/cape/top/bottom to go with it rather than just a single overall so people have more reason to keep opening boxes. Can also just add a few random cool items instead of a complete set but I think keeping it within the summer/winter/newyear box theme would be cool or unique. (yoinked these off the rp thread cause the exact sets/items can be figured out later by staff or voted by players.) Ultra Rare crazy low % chance. When I say crazy low I mean potentially like 1-2 people only get this per event or something.: This is the selling point of the crate really let a player flex their e-peen with this. I am thinking something like these mounts or any cutie mount. Here is a video with tons of mounts including the ones in the picture above so you can see them moving. Literally any big cutie mount is a flex people will want. Spoiler Pros: - People get cutie outfits ("RP quality") even if they cannot donate - The code for this should already be in I think? I is just a trade in quest with meso(mount quest) and a random roll off a loot table like gacha. - Most events will bring in a large amount of mesos to the server but this event will do the opposite. How much it would take out would have to be tracked to make sure the event is worth running because this point is possibly untrue. Cons: - Currently the only con I can think of is the server losing possible donations because of the included items. If this is implemented and the server suddenly loses a large % of donations then never do it again. TL ; DR - Meso Lootcrates for RP quality NX Please leave any feedback whether you like the idea or hate it, or if you just would make some changes to the event.
The server running cost is heavily supported by community donations so I can see why Matt is not keen on releasing new RP/NX at a rapid pace. Despite being a donor I disagree that you must donate to look your best. I do think the server can benefit from more seasonal NX, But considering how those items won't be limited in quantity and will always be available to all for free they have to be chosen carefully As for the event suggestion: The wintertime is jam-packed with events and content, Autumn events, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Lunar, And Valentine. I love the idea of a customized event unique to Royals but I think the winter isn't the best time to add up to the overwhelming amount of activity we have during this time of year. On the other hand, I would love to see a customized summer event as it seems to be the most uneventful time of the year. Rather than a full set of free NX or a rare mount, I would like one of the rewards being a summer-themed chat and label ring that could be obtained through the event. I feel like it would be a fitting reward and a great addition to the event rings we currently have in the game.
