New Source?

    Hello I have played maple royals for a while but never made a forum account til now. It has been about 2 months since the new source dropped, that meaning is has been about 2 months since the server has been playable. I am not hating on anyone or anything.
    - I just want to know if the new source is soo good then why doesn't it work properly.
    - I know it is currently being worked on by the dedicated staff but did they know the new source wouldn't be ready?
    - Were they planning on dropping the number 1 spot on gtop and losing a huge amount of players.
    I know now it is not the time to complain because it wouldn't make it go any faster.
    Last question.
    - Is the server going to be v83 because most of the features they are implementing are from it.
    I believe that staying v62 with v83 features causes alot of problems.

    Most of your questions have been answered in other posts or common sense. Clearly they didn't know this mainy problems would arise. The new source is considerably better even as it is. Less restarts etc. They will be gaining the #1 spot back after all of the features are added. They didn't plan for any of this to happen. Its going to be a hybrid of v62 and v83 to keep the nostalgia. All of v83 features kinda pushes it too far out of the original plan Matt had for the server.

    New source release was rushed, without having been tested properly, hence why there are still many bugs and glitches.

    - I know it is currently being worked on by the dedicated staff but did they know the new source wouldn't be ready?
    They had an "Open Beta" to test out the new source. They decided to re-code everything and released this new code (the new source we have now) with minimal to no testing.

    - Were they planning on dropping the number 1 spot on gtop and losing a huge amount of players.
    Obviously not.

    - Is the server going to be v83 because most of the features they are implementing are from it.
    The bulk of this server will stay v62, with bits and pieces of v83 mixed in.
