    Hello,

    So I guess a lot of people are wondering of why there are new maps like ninja castle insted of fixing thing like HT and others. No matter who I asked I always got the same replay: "It is easier to implement new things rather than fixing". And my question here is: WTF? I think that most of the community would rather see HT coming back instead of a map similar to Anego. PLEASE, get fixed stuff that really matters instead of adding material to just cover broken things. Anyway me myself would like to help supporting the server but thing like this really makes it hard.

    Simple answer is that the implementation of Ninja Castle was done by other members of staff and didn't take away from Kevin working on more important things.

    I think we can safely assume that the staff of this server know what's best for the community. If they decide to do one feature before another, there'll be a good reason for it.

    From a programming point of view, I can't imagine Ninja Castle being challenging to add. It's just a lot more of the same stuff we already have. But Horn Tail is really complex and requires a lot of thought and development time from the most experienced team members.

    But yeah I trust they are doing everything they can to get Horn Tail out as soon as possible.

    Anyways, implementing a new area and new content is primarily done through .wz edits. Or, more specifically, adding .wz file to the client. This process isn't particularly difficult, especially compared to writing new code and bug fixing. From what I've been told learning how to .wz edit isn't too hard given the persistence and time.

    From what I've heard, and any staff member can correct me if I'm wrong, the biggest setback as far as implementing HT mostly comes from getting a quality autoban system working. I believe they want to avoid any situation where someone can hack in HT, getting drops and distributing them, without getting banned automatically. In old source there was an autoban system but it wasn't perfect and often banned people for things like fast attack or high damage when that person was completely legit.

    Again, correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe that is what's going on.
