Officially announced today: Thoughts? Opinions? Concerns? In theory it seems like a cool concept but only time will tell. Will I be able to play Smash 4 on this? If not, what's the point? I don't really wanna spend what I'm assuming is gonna be $250 for the ability to play the new LoZ on-the-go. I also wonder how long the battery life is.
I wish the internet doesn't over hype this. Its a cool concept and all but over hyping stuff and it not living to expectations kills it...
To say I'm hyped for this console would be an understatement. Very glad they are moving away from the Wii branding and are aiming this console at young adults rather than kids and pensioners. The Nvidia Tegra chip should be a powerhouse for mobile gaming, and rumours of it being more powerful when docked with possible additional fans to cool the GPU sounds very plausible. The 3rd party support looks amazing and just what was needed. I feel that Nintendo have absolutely nailed it this time. Very likely to be a day one purchase for me. Looking forward to seeing more info about the device and what the lineup of games will be at launch.
While it is just a portable console you can hook up to your TV, it is much more interesting than the other consoles, and I'll definitely be getting it. Besides, the last portable console I had was the DS Lite :_:
Nintendo is all about them gimmicks. It looks cool but it's not really anything we didn't have the technology for years ago. I don't even have my own television (don't see the point when I have a computer with an internet connection) so there's not really anything for me to be hyped about. I wish they put more money into making decent games instead of trying to compensate with all this nonsense.
