For reasons that I am currently unable to discover, my UK keyboard layout will occasionally switch to a US layout while playing MapleRoyals. As far as I can tell, this change only happens within the game, and does not affect my regular keyboard usage outside of Maple. This is a problem that I also used to get when I played GMS back in 2006-2007. I have not encountered this issue outside of GMS and MapleRoyals (I haven't played any other private servers). I checked to see if there might be a combination of hotkeys listed for my computer's keyboard settings that, when pressed, changed my layout, but there isn't. I don't even have a US layout installed on this computer, and never did have it installed. (The same applies to the computer I played GMS with!) This computer started with a default UK layout and the only other layout I have installed is Japanese. My Operating System: Windows 7 Ultimate (happened in GMS with Windows XP). Keyboard: a compact-UK-layout wireless (non-bluetooth) keyboard (happened in GMS with a wired standard-UK-layout Keyboard). Unfortunately, I can't figure out what causes/triggers this, so if anyone else has experienced the same problem and can give any useful information, I'd be very grateful
I've experienced the same thing which I finally figured out for me. Pressing shift + left alt at same time changes my keyboard language settings from FI to EN. Even you mentioned you've checked the available combinations, give it a try it might not show up in that list! Hope this helps
Resolved thanks to @Silent - seems like my keyboard was toggling between UK and Japanese settings every time I jump-attacked on my Sin, lololol >_< I stopped it by making sure there was no set keys for this:
