I should've taken a screenshot myself to make it clearer for the evidence, but yeah, the Manon dropped a total of 3 Manon's Cry(s). (I picked up one, for your information.) Is it possible that only 1 of them can be picked up while the others are there for visual effect?
If I may ask, were the person who looted the manon cry and the person who wasn't able to pick up the cry on the same quest? To make my question more clear: The quest you pick up the first time to get manon's cry is not the same quest as the repeatable version for more dragon elixirs. Which results in a scenario where whoever kills the manon gets his version of the quest item to drop but not the other person's version. To avoid that scenario: the player who is on the repeatable quest has to wait for the person on the original quest to hit manon first, then the player who is on the repeatable quest can dmg manon for a bit but has to leave the map again before manon dies. Then the manon's cry for the original quest should drop (but still not the one for the repeatable, sorry.)
That might have been the case, since I'm on a repeatable quest of getting the the elixirs whilst he (I think he was.. lol) hasn't done it before, as he was going for the Genesis quest. But for further information: I did not deal the finishing blow on Manon, rather just give him it. Either way, I didn't ask him what quest line he was on. [EDIT] Didn't read a sentence you wrote, my bad.
It's just because the items have a different id code, the one for the first time quest, and the one for the repeatable. (I think at least)
If you are in the same room, you still count as the one whiting, you will need to leave the room before it dies (at least that's what I do and it works) I didn't think he would be able to see the cry since he is not on that quest, like you can't see quest drops other ppl get (or you shouldn't)
