Solved [Solution Given] nothing happens after opening client

    so matt tried to troubleshoot but nothing seemed to work so he advised to post here

    -client opened fine prior to update 76
    -after downloading the first iteration (19.01.22 or something), i installed it in my existing mapleroyals folder and override everything
    -tried to open updated client, nothing happens
    -uninstalled, reinstalled, opened client, nothing happens
    -new update was released (20.01.22), downloaded that, installed it, same issue
    -made sure exclusions were correct, tried reinstalling in different folder, different drive, still same issue

    my OS is windows 10

    please advise

    Have you tried a clean install?

    Uninstall > restart PC > reinstall

    While attempting to launch the client, you may also open your Task Manager and confirm if Royals is able to run in the background (Processes)

    just tried clean install. uninstalled, deleted the folder, restarted pc, reinstalled. same issue

    after opening the client, and checking task manager, i do see MapleStory but it just disappears after a few seconds.

    I am also having the exact same issue as Kaytee24. Windows 10 and have done the exact same steps. Uninstalled, restarted, fresh install. Same thing with the task manager as well. It appears for a couple seconds then disappears from the processes tab. And np for delay. Thank you :)

    Windows 10, same problem on 2 different computers. Steps:
    1) Full uninstall (including shift-deleting old empty folders)
    2) Restart
    3) Full fresh reinstall with different folder name
    4) Restart
    5) Set up all exclusions including folder exclusion
    6) Restart
    7) Try launching and fail

    It does appear in background in Task Manager for a split second, but that's it.

    Also I tried this with both mirror links. I did notice that on reinstall, the installer now always leaves out mrr.dll. One of my many reinstall attempts still has the mrr.dll file so I copy that into the reinstalled folder. Doesn't seem to make any difference.

    ended up changing the download location after uninstall, restart, fresh download. that seemed to help me open up the game

    Hi,

    I have exactly the same issue no matter how I uninstall/reinstall it.
    No error message.
    It just appears for a few seconds in the task manager and then disappears.

    Im having same problem, please help
    All the method above i have tried, but nothing happened
    It never happened before, just after this update
    BTW, my OS is win10

    have that issue too i did uninstall>restart>reinstall too
    when i try run client will apeare one sec then gone in sec with on it

    Same problem with the new client not working. Have tried clean uninstalls multiple times, have tried downloading from both mirrors, tried installing to different locations, tried turning off windows 10 security, tried different compatability modes, im now at a loss for what to try next
