Duplicate NPC Chat not working properly

I'm having trouble with the 'NPC Chat' key, specially with NPCs that either give options to choose or give quest. The response is either really slow or causes the chat window to close, whereas using the mouse doesnt cause trouble. I have already tried using another key to try 'fix' the problem and it seems to be a persistant problem, at least in my case (also i dont have lag issues).

 

I have noticed when I was testing a random 83 server that 83's NPC chat works differently than in 62.. I never had issues with 62's though.

Basically, pressing NPC chat makes the chat appear. Pressing it again when window is open makes the NPC say all his dialogue (like clicking the mouse). From here, you can use the arrow keys to navigate through selectable options and pressing ENTER decides the thing you selected. Pressing NPC chat again WILL close the NPC chat, do not do this. Also, if you have a yes or no selection, using the left arrow and right arrow key makes you navigate through those options, again accepting by pressing ENTER.

ESC at any moment triggers "End chat" function.

So if you want to be fast (GOTTA GO FAST):

NPC CHAT (opens)
NPC CHAT (finish dialogue)
<navigate with arrow keys>
ENTER (decides your choice)
<2 times arrow to left to navigate to ACCEPT assuming quest has a accept/deny option>
ENTER/NPC CHAT until chat is done

 

Pressing Y whenever there is an "accept" dialog also works, useful for quick NPcing

 

Indeed. Also, was there a change on the NPC Chat key? because i normally have that key on 'Y' so i can spam it and be able to accept the dialog, but after i came back i noticed it didnt work anymore.

 

All my skills on my characters are intact, so pretty sure that's how i left it (weird right?). Anyways, i'll follow the tips above pretty helpful
