As the title says, all my NPCs don't have the speech bubbles above their heads (the random ones that pop up time to time). I'm not sure when this started happening but I think I did notice it for awhile now, and it only became apparent during the "Nobody ever listens to what I say" event that Kai hosted yesterday. Everyone I asked in-game didn't seem to have this problem. It doesn't affect gameplay but my towns are now awfully "quiet", and during the event I had to rely on memory (lol). Anyway, I've tried re-installing the Client but that didn't work. Any advice please?
Could you please try doing a full reboot of your computer, if that doesn't work try doing a clean boot https://support.microsoft.com/en-gb/help/929135/how-to-perform-a-clean-boot-in-windows Let us know if this solves the problem for you.
On a side note, the event is using NPC dialogue (you have to click them to read it), not the bubble above them.
@Kai ORLY LOL. I was so sure of Ericsson because I thought I remembered the answer from those pop-up bubbles.... @Matt thanks for this! I'll try it and update you in a bit. *googles how to do a full reboot
Yeah. I got the bubble bug as well, that's why I didn't host it using that bubble text, in case someone got the same bug. Normally a restart would work. Sometimes a cold reboot might be needed, who knows. If above doesn't, try https://support.microsoft.com/en-sg/help/929135/how-to-perform-a-clean-boot-in-windows.
@Matt I've tried restarting before and it didn't work too... since @Kai has the bug too then I think I can afford to wait for it to be fixed? Considering my IT skills, doing anything like a reboot will make me screw the whole system up
