Hello, First off, this problem occurs on both the regular server as well as the BETA server which I downloaded, installed and tried out yesterday. Here's the problem: I can login to my account normally after launching the game (in BETA however launching the game takes roughly up to two minutes which is a lot more than the regular game). Everything goes smoothly until I have to login to my only character. I cannot login by double clicking my character. When I try logging into the game by double clicking, the game just closes and shuts down immediately. I figured I could just avoid this problem (which started showing up since a week ago) by just entering with the ENTER-key. However, since yesterday (on the newly installed BETA-server) neither did logging in on my only character with the ENTER-key work. After a few tries (and so countless minutes since launching the BETA-server takes so long) I tried making a new character. Logging into this one went smoothly. Obviously I would like to keep playing my current character and not just start over on a new one, therefore I'd like this to be fixed. The odd thing about this error is that it doesn't always occur, sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn't, very odd. FYI: I have been suggested to try a re-install or re-install only the launcher. However after downloading and installing the BETA-server freshly, this error still occurred. I just joined yesterday and had the same issue. When I tried to log in the game and my game closed and shut down as well.
First of all, contact the leader or a junior in your guild and ask them to kick IgneusBow from the guild, to see if that resolves the issue. If that doesn't help, then there are a couple of other issues worth investigating: 1) Bugged (probably equipped) inventory item 2) Item in your inventory (probably equipped) that was accidentally removed by us from the .wz files (less likely, I'm fairly sure that Matt has already checked for this sort of thing when doing any edits. Also, it might differ between the live server and the Open Beta). @elitexon9 - your issue may be unrelated if you just joined yesterday - best to make your own thread in character issues.
Will the issue be resolved if I rejoin the guild? (if this is what is causing the issue) 1) Do I unequip every item one by one and keep relogging to check which one it is or how do I check this? 2) How do I check this? Also, on the BETA-server I have entirely different items equiped (apart from the petequipment), so I doubt this would be the problem? But then again, I also am a member of a different guild. And sometimes (not always) when I wait 1-2min whilst on the character selection page, logging in with the ENTER-key does work, I haven't tried logging on by clicking yet after waiting. At the moment, unless anyone has any better ideas, the only thing we can do is test various things out to see if that's what's causing the problem. I don't know if leaving your guild would solve the problem, or if the problem would return if you rejoined your guild. The fact you are in two different guilds on both servers makes it less likely that the guild is the cause of the problem. Do you have the same pet(s) on both servers? It's possible that your pet is bugged in some way.
Right, I see. I do in fact have the same pets on both servers, however I am using a different one. (I got a new one a few months ago which I'm using now, but the older one still is in my inventory)
OK, I can't fix anything for you on the Open Beta server, but if you can manage to get onto the live server, please try equipping your pets and tell me which, if either of them, dcs you when you double click on your character ingame.
If I remember correctly pets often dc me: Ex.1: when I move to a different map with my tiger equipped and in the new map it looks like it's unequipped, but when I move to the next map it's back again. When I try to equip it when I can't see it, I dc. Ex.2: (sometimes?) When I have my tiger equipped and I directly equip my black dragon without unequipping my tiger first I dc.
It seems to be a personal issue (not equipment nor guild or pet related) as I made a new (storage) account today, double clicked to login, no luck.
