I made a Bandit as that has always been my favorite class. I love playing the market, but I don't think I have enough time to sell hours of leech which is generally what you make a Bishop for anyway. Will I be alright sticking with my bandit?
Having fun is important, however i highly recommend you don't make a bishop as your first char. I'm the same as you, just started the game about a week ago as a cleric, i was under the impression there was a lot of PQ like in the old maple sea, that would allow a cleric that DOES NOT have strong attack power to level self sufficiently because i do not have funds. Problem #1 - Levelling up til 85 was fun and i loved grinding with heal like i did in the vanilla server. Past that, mob's HP suddenly took a huge jump and went from 8k to 30ishk. Killing ANYTHING, death teddies, master death teddies, black kentaurus, hime and so on, required me to tank and spam heal for 5 - 15 seconds just to kill something. Problem #2 - no alternative levelling methods. Well, not no, but PQ is basically dead. Due to the sudden increase in mob hp and tankiness, i tried to do Pirate PQ. i tried on and off for 3 days, and only managed to enter 15 times in total. Of the 15 times, 6 failed because no one other than me knew what to do. Problem #3 - lack of funds. I did not have enough attack to make levelling efficient because i am not funded enough to buy all those dope godly int equips. there is nowhere i can go for alternative levelling because there is the culture here is to leech, far and away the BEST levelling method that everyone uses because its the FASTEST. The problem here being that like #1, i do not have mesos, and leeching at level 85 will cost upwards of 40 mil per hour. For reference, you get 8k nx a day from voting, one basic AP reset scroll costs 3.1k and can be sold for 16 - 17 mil, not including whatever income you may or not have from selling the stuff you got from grinding. Of course, this isn't exactly a problem if you are willing to tolerate some slowness or have some friends to grind with you. But do you? Another alternative as advised by some friends i met on the maple royal discord is to make another character, an Arch mage, I/L or F/P. since i already have HS from a level 85 priest, the mage char will catch up quickly, and then be able to carry my priest with him with his much higher attack power and enjoy a near permanent HS.
