Not sure if this was suggested before or if this was already attempted, but would it be possible to have the option to enable and disable the /find command. If not here, then at least release this on the new source? I mean, there are options to disable private messaging and to even disable some of your friends from listening to your buddy chat. I'm just suggesting this because it is quite annoying to have people track me down, purposely to disturb my recording
Sounds more like these people are harassing you than a fault with the /find command. Have you tried reporting them instead? I don't know what kind of recordings you do but if you stream then changing the command won't help, how do they find out that you are recording?
Looks as though his YouTube channel has some prominence. I don't think he streams - not Maple Royals, at least. His Maple Royals videos amass over 1,000 views. It's possible people are constantly /finding him and running to him at any point in the day; I'm not sure how often he records, but if he records a lot, I can definitely see how it would become a nuisance. I'm sure he feels conflicted about reporting them - these are his fans and viewers, after all.
I can understand that being very bothersome, I don't think changing the command would solve much though. If someone really wants they can just use a teleport rock and go through all channels and they would find that person anyways. More player commands have been said before that they will not be added, unless a very good reason for it, which I personally don't think this is.
I agree. I think that reworking the /find command for this single instance would be a waste of time that could be better spent elsewhere. You raised a very good point with the teleport rocks. I sympathize with this guy, but people would just find other ways of locating him.
