Hi all. Im a very new player. Tried searching for some items using the Owl. I selected the item and teleported to the shop. I went into the shop and couldnt find the item there. Spent 4k buying Owls and didnt get anything back. Is this supposed to happen? Thanks in advance.
What item did this happen with? To my knowledge, Owls of Minerva should be working properly, with a few exceptions. Using owls returns a maximum of one hundred results, with prices in ascending order. So owling for very popular items that flood the market such as Red Cravens will only return the one hundred cheapest results. In the past, owling for items that had more than one hundred in FM caused owls to dc the user, but this was fixed with the one hundred result cap. Also, owl results do not exclude people who have their shop in maintenance or people who have too much meso in Frederick for you to actually buy the item. Although technically there may be an item for sale in that shop, if the shop owner is inside their store, you cannot go into their store until the owner leaves and if the shop owner has so much meso stored in Frederick that purchasing the item would cause their meso stored in Frederick to go over max meso (2,147,483,647), you cannot buy the item. If any of these known issues are not the problem you encountered, please detail exactly what you experienced.
Hi Shiyui, Thanks for the reply. It happened with a Fish Spear and Work Gloves. I found this 47 wa fish spear acc 7 for 1m and tried to buy it. I TPed to the shop and the shop doesnt have it. I thought it was an error and tried other shops around and other channels of the same spot, but no one sells the spear, same with the work gloves. It was a 2 wa 4 dex 1 acc WG for 2m.
Digressing a little from your topic, DO NOT BUY OWLS WITH NX!! You can buy from an NPC in FM for 3m each! Also, welcome to Royals!
LOL. Im trying to maximise my meso usage by using NX instead of meso, but now i know not to buy CS owls. You know, since im a VERY new player. Thanks again guys.
