IGN: SadBishop Problem: Owls lead to a shop that didn't exist Details: I used two owls to find a shop owned by a player called "Pooder" supposedly located in Channel 8, FM 1 just after 3:30 AM server time. The shop did not exist, and the second time it actually had a popup saying the shop didn't exist. I was searching for an elemental wand 2, which was priced at 19,999,999. I'm going to reserve using my owls now as I've used 4 looking for this wand and haven't found one / had the shops not exist. Maybe the owls haven't updated? Edit: Just before 3:30 AM server time.
I see this was marked minor and moved, and I see that as fair, but I noticed players asking for refunds of items in that forum; I first asked in ~gm about this with no reply. If I could be refunded at least the 2 dud owls so far, I'd appreciate it, as owls are quite pricey here. I'll try again with owls today, and if they continue to do this I'll update my thread.
Fair enough, but do you think there's any chance the price will be lowered if I make a suggestion to do so? I can't afford to keep purchasing owls if they fail 10% of the time (my experience thus far).
No I don't think the price will be lowered. If you get zero matches on your search do you still lose the owl? I am pretty certain it doesn't take one away from you.
No, zero matches does not waste the owl. The issue I'm having is that it claims to have found the item and then I'll go to that room via the owl's teleport and it will not be present. This just happened to me a third time, ironically enough, with the same store owner "Pooder", maybe this is just a glitch with his store? This time it listed his store in a different location than last so I didn't think it'd be glitched yet again. I recorded it this time just in case, the video is currently uploading to youtube now, I'll edit it into this post once it's done. Edit: Video, will show when 'processing' is complete.
Ahh, well I can't be sure, but if you dc while setting up a store the server still thinks your store is up so it might register on owl searches.
has the owl bug been fixed yet? trying to buy a craven, and the most expensive one i get on search results is like 4m... dont seem to get all the results up on the owl search. either that or i just dc and waste an owl when i search
