Hi Royallers, It's finally Halloween and this year you will find new event specific items, quests, minor bug fixes and of course the Halloween event! We have listed the details below. This patch requires all players to download new files. The download links are available on the website's download page now. For Windows users; simply download and run the setup file, it should install over your previous MapleRoyals installation. For Mac users; download the full client, double click to extract the .zip, then run the application. If the above methods do not work then you can update your files manually by using the files listed on the File List. Pet Rings have been temporarily disabled Some duplicate items removed from Cash Shop. Following items have been removed from the cash shop: Pre-School Pants. Hyper Funky Xylophone Leggings. New Sachiel Wings. New Veamoth Wings. New Janus Wings. Pet Quote Ring. Pet Label Ring. Item changes: Event equips + mount covers added. Fixed Red Ribbon on the Golden Pig. Fixed some graphical displacements on some cash shop gloves. Some unused items have been removed. Fixed slightly buggy sit animations for the Golden Pig, Tiel, Galiel and Esel. Event chairs added. Fixed some chairs that had missing layers: TV Recliner, Christmas Gift Box and Olivia's Chair. Map changes: This years Halloween themed Free Market and Amherst added. Event mobs added. Quest changes: Manon will no longer drop Manon's Cry, and instead the transformation elixir quests will require 1 Manon kill (partying is supported and encouraged). Event quests have been made available. Text change: Typo in the Spear Crusher description fixed. Typo on scroll for helmet for def fixed. Other: A few hairstyles have been added to the donor NPC in the Free Market entrance. Male(Wild Wolf hair, Round Hair, Spade hair, Bisk Hair, Hurricane Hair, Hairspray Hair); Female(Asusa Hair, Sweet Honey Hair, Papaya Hair, Roly Poly Hair, Juliet Hair, Blow Dry Hair, Crayon Hair); NX item One Summer Night is no longer untradable. Fixed a quest related timestamp issue between the client and the server. Maple Pyrope guns can be used with Battleship. Problem with reactors for Bowmaster/Marksman skill quests Phoenix and Frostprey fixed. Problem with reactor for F/P Arch Mage skill quest Fire Demon fixed. Problem with reactor for Shadower skill quest Assassinate fixed. Female characters can no longer create engagement rings and get stuck after creating them. Some more information regarding the Manon changes: Instead of having to loot a Manon's Cry, one kill of the Manon replaced that part of the requirement for the quest, other required items like a fixed dagger, 10 dragon skins and a marrow are still necessary. Both first time questers and the repeatable quest require the same Manon kill, making it possible for the players to always help eachother. The Manon defeat (one kill) will count for the whole party of up to 6 people, given if they are in the map and channel at the time and have their quest active. The quest will now only reward 2 Dragon Elixirs instead of 5 so the party that wants to go to Horntail will have enough transformation elixirs to get their daily 2 runs in if they wish to do so. More elixirs can still be gathered by repeating the quest. The cooldown of the quest has been increased to four hours instead of one, encouraging people not to camp multiple channels and stock up on a load of elixirs but rather having them get their elixirs when they need it. If they do wish to stockpile elixirs they will have to wait 4 hours in between which correlates with the Manon spawntime of 4-6 hours.
Wait a sec, if you changed the requirement to a kill instead of a cry, does this mean people who are doing the quest for the first time can party kill Manon with people who are on the repeatable with no issues?
Starting from October 15, 2016 (01:08:13), Bishops can now say "You young bishops have it easy... back in my days, we had to fight for manon cry... and it might not drop." RIP the meme - no cry, I cry.
what if i already have the cry on my char? can i look for a 5 elixers refund if i make all the other materials? i dont want it to be wasted...
For anyone having issues with GoogleDrive, some MEGA download mirrors have now been added to the downloads and filelist pages on the website.
So if you previously had a Manon's cry on your character, does the quest instead say you've already killed a Manon? Or do I have to go back and hunt for a Manon again.
