I've been playing MapleRoyals for ~4 months now and I've noticed most (if not all) server checks are performed around 0:00 UTC (server time), and take around an hour or so. As a person who lives in a country whose time-zone is UTC+2/3 (depending on DST) it might seem convenient that the server checks are taking place at a time when I'm usually asleep. While it's an advantage to not have to wait for a server check to complete since I'm sound asleep, it also comes with a disadvantage. Think of it: as soon as the server is back up, everyone who's able to play at that time rushes to secure a good FM spot, while people like me - who are not able to play at that time - are losing their chance to do the same. Then they'd have to either wait for at least 24 hours for a spot to be available, or to buy a spot (lame!). My suggestion is to try and perform server checks in different times every time, and not mostly around the same time, because that would put players that are unable to play in that time in a constant disadvantage. I don't know if it's possible to do, especially since very few people are probably responsible of performing server checks, and they might live in close time-zones in which 0:00 UTC is the perfect time to perform a server check.
