Because I'm an idiot... There are days that I question my choices and want to give up. All classes are more or less the same, it's a game, play whatever you want. Spoiler: Real reason The game would be too boring if I wasn't a beginner. Full map aoe, zooming around maps, no sense of danger with autopot. Playing a beginner feels like playing a souls-like game, playing any other class will probably feel like dynasty warriors. I still like to wait for boats and walk to different maps unless I have to tp. The leveling was not as bad as expected. 1~10 island quests 11~21 Hene Hunting Ground 21~25 Ant Tunnel 25~32 KPQ 32~51 CPQ1 - Pt up with Clerics, so you can do damage. I was able to contribute at least half of the points if not more 51~71 CPQ2 - the top platforms are perfect for polearm swings. You could down viking in 4-5 swings. The most points I've contributed is 450+. I usually pop a Warrior Elixir before starting and the key is to try not to die. 71~100 PPQ/Farming Voodoos - excruciatingly slow after lvl85 / pig quests help a lot 100+ Buying Leeches/Voodoos/ anything goes really, could not find a steady way to level. 120+ Buying Leeches at skele 160+ Decided to quest and grind and see how far it gets Goals: 1) Lvl 200 (160 10/23/2021) 2) 30k HP (2217 hp// 04/13/2021; 2908hp//10/17/2021) 3) Legendary Collector Medal 4) 255 atk mop (unless 265 is possible// 254 atm, self scrolled with 30% after booming a few) 4) Black Belt (1140/17000// 04/15/2021) 5) MON 6) 20+ atk Gloves (11// 04/13/2021) 7) 20+ atk BFC 8) 15+ atk shoes 9) Earrings (not sure) 10) Rings (not sure) 11) Shiny Nose (hopefully by next event) Achieved 12/27/23, 2 years and 8 month ish **) +20 Auf Haven Circlet (like that paly dude, then I'll finally be able to hit like a normal lvl50 warrior) **) 30 atk shield **) 30+ str robe **) 110+ Maple Glory **) veamoth sword **) MR releases a decent beginner only 1h wep Purpose of these Goals: -Want to make a Beginner with damages comparable to another underfunded char from any other class (T.T). -To be able to join a boss party after taking a reasonable amount of insult from other players and their questioning about my class choice. -To feel a sense of accomplishment even if it's arbitrary, driven by a hint of masochism. Progress entry: ~04/13/2021~ Following the EPQ pre-quests. Finished collecting 300 Tachion, struggling with Master Death Teddies. 3/100 Dust collected. ~04/15/2021~ Level 115 with 56/100 Dust collected. Almost enough to do HP quests. Still fairly interested in the game. (04/22/2021 edit, Finished collecting dust and puzzle pieces. Was able to get to Ellin but didn't realize there were more quests. Decided to shift the focus to getting a belt for the moment.) ~04/16/2021~ Began to hunt for a black belt. Plan to get 100-200 pts a day since I could only solo up to stage 12 or so without it becoming too difficult. Figured 160 days or so will do it. Heard back from one of the many Perm beginners I reached out to, turns out the person had quit the character and was informed that most perm beginners are not active as well. The main reason was not being able to find an effective way to progress after lvl100+. I will still stick with my beginner. ~04/22/2021~ Coming back to the log. Been grinding at dojo, getting closer and closer to a yellow belt; got 1140 pts so far. This whole experience makes maple feel like a brand new game. People have been nice over all. I was able to party for 2 runs with some people. Their damage makes me jealous ~04/24/2021~ Happy Saturday! Was finally able to gather enough points to get a yellow belt. The motivation is dropping a bit but still grinding. ~05/25/2021~ Have not had the opportunity to play, been voting religiously. Saved up to 299k NX, no idea how to make a profit with it. Maybe I will use it all for gacha. ~10/10/2021~ Came back to the game after a break, saved up til 1.3mil ish nx. Used it all on gach at NLC and received 10 ws and a ton of other items. Will be able to afford some new gears. ~10/11/2021~ One of the guildies quit and gave me a cs and some other items. His ign was DissectionA, said he had his share of nostalgia for the past couple of months and is not coming back. ~10/17/2021~ It's been almost a week since I started playing again. Having another existential crisis, especially when I look at the recent achievement posts. Don't even have a clue on how I'm gonna get hundreds of Billions to gear my beginner. So far, the only things I can aim for atm are black belt, hp quests (maybe), and medals. Can't think of a way to make mesos, le sad. ~03/17/2022~ It's been a long break, saved up to 1k ish gach tickets and only yielded 7 ws. it should be enough for me to get something but I've lost all direction. The game seems quieter. ~10/26/2022~ Still lurking around. Playing around with the idea of making a bishop to self leech or maybe just do the daily hp quests. (Got a 138 cleric, don't want to pull the trigger on making a bish, I'd stop playing beginner if I made any other char.) ~6/19/2023~ Came back to play again, had 13 ws from last batch of gacha, sold it to Zancks for roughly 5b coins. Don't know what to do atm, maybe get my blue belt first. ~12/21/2023~ Returned again, getting the shiny nose this year around, first one. Got it on 12/27/23 ~12/22/2023~ Going to try my luck for WS for some mesos 3170 tix (bought 35 more), storage mgmt is going to be a nightmare and I don't honestly toss anything... got 28 ws Results ~12/25/2023~ Sold 28 ws to Loyev for 13 b coins + 3 sets of cilbis ~01/01/2023~ Sold 3 cilbis for 508 m, desperate for mesos... Spent 17b coins + 510m for tax + 2ws for veamoth sword from Nerd Broke again ~01/02/2023~ Boomed fur with 1st 30% attack scroll, good times... ~01/03/2023~ Made this out of two mops today, boomed 1 but the 2nd one the 5th 30% was a bit too much, got greedy... Final product, wussed out and settled for near perfect ~01/10/2023~ Got this, hope its value retains until I sell it.
Met someone and sold to them that was washing a perma beginner to 30k HP that was going to be a STR beginner. Spent alot of money buying solo leech too. I respect the grind but also stare in awe and horror. I have an islander at26 a perma I got to 71 before cpq and a lv 56 post cpq that I gave up on after finding my old account info again.
Just did a tally based on ws and cs alone, used 122 ws and 1 cs so far in my journey, that's roughly about 59b (123 ws+cs) spent if avg 480m per scroll... assumed 20b on gear what not (mainly fashion), 39b went to leeching? Maybe less, probably should avg it at 460m. I can't remember the ws was what I had or what I spent... maybe it wasn't that much. Found some other logs on discord, Seems like the total is 30b+ ish, not 50+. Phew, thank god.
