    Character Name: ezisabelcc
Last thing you did: heartstopper farming
Why do you think you got banned?: botting
Ban message when attempting to log in: permanently banned
What GM banned you (optional): think it was Eli

Was banned today for the first time for botting, however I feel it's unfair since the T&C state 2nd offense is permanently banned, when this is the first ban for that reason.

I think this is because my previous ban is being treated as the first offense, and my current ban is being looked as for the 2nd.

I never got to appeal to my first ban, but I feel like that ban was undeserving but I still took it. I was in that map for hours, I went to sell all my equips, and I returned to the same map. I left the screen open, but as small as possible. I pressed the Ifrit key on intervals while watching anime with minimal effort looking on the screen. I opened the window again, and I was banned for KSing.
1 reason is because either 1) I didn't notice someone entered the map when I was gone or 2) I didn't hit anything for a long time so when that guy entered my map, he took ownership.

The 2nd case applies to my current ban because I never left the map. Please review my case. I'll stop producing bot-like behaviours

You were banned for actively performing actions ingame while not being able to reply to players or GMs in multiple occassions within 15 hours time.
If a player is to perform actions ingame, this player needs to be mentally and physically present at the time of performing said action, and thus has to be able to reply to a GM at that time. Since this was not the case, for an extensive amount of time, you were permanently banned as the GM who has banned you is to believe you were using a scripted macro to play the game for you.

Is there no leniency for the ban? I understand that now, and I would have understood it if that were the case for the first ban. First ban was for KSing. The T&C says I would have been given a 2nd chance, and the first ban would be 1 week. I would gladly take the week, and I'll accept a permanent ban for any next offense like a 3rd strike rule.

I'm afraid that the T&C does mention that using scripted macros is as hacking which results in a permanent ban.

Found under Appendices, Moderate Infractions: Robotic Play.

I feel like my case should be under

    5. Robotic Play - The act of engaging in robotic or automatic play which allows any character you own to function autonomously or affect any portion of the game without your presence. Punishment: First offense - 7 day ban, Second offense - Permanent ban.

because I was not looking at my screen when I was playing the game, thus me acting like a robot. My screen was pushed off to the side and out of sight, but I was still able to press buttons so I could watch some shows.

Your case is indeed one that falls under the rule of Robotic Play, but I feel like you've forgotten to read the appendices that belong to this rule.
What I've linked you before is taken from the Robotic Play's appendix, which mentions that scripted macro play is considered an instant permanent ban.

It is true that engaging in automatic play only results in a 7 day ban for a first offense, however we do not consider your case to be automatic play but rather scripted macro play.
What we consider as automatic play is placing an item on a keyboard or holding down a single button for a long period of time, and not being able to respond to a GM ingame when contacted. Anything that is more advanced than that we consider on the level of scripted, as it would require a program or script to perform more than 1 action without your presence or to perform the same action multiple times within a larger time interval.

I understand that your claim is that you were physically present at the keyboard, but since this did not show in your ingame behaviour it is not possible for us to confirm this.
All we could see is that you were performing actions once in a while, and at the exact moment of performing an action you were not present ingame to reply to the GM who was asking you questions. Because of this your ban has been decided to be a permanent one, and this decision will not be reversed at this time.

Can you be reasonable? I feel being permanently banned is rather harsh. I understand how it would feel like a robot was playing for me because I set up a timer to go off in intervals which lets me know when to press it without looking at the screen..

Bullshit!!! I remember clear as fucking day during each occurrence I was banned for. I was always on computer. Why do you think I would appeal right away after each ban?
