Just wondering what you guys' favorite event is, this shouldn't influence future GM events, just one's personal opinion.

I like ones that actually require some thought put into them on the player's side. Even though most people end up googling it anyway, I like Q&A, True/False and "Name the item" quite a bit. I also like events that explore the hidden areas of maple that the average player has never seen. Whether it's hide and seek, or it's a Q&A thing that mentions the maps and what not.

I'm with you, but there also has to be events where everyone has an equal chance of winning, because obviously, some people have far more experience and typing speeds or the characters to get from one point to another quicker. People dislike JQ because they know they have an extremely low chance of winning even if they tried, whereas some people just run to the top like it's nothing.

For Q&A it should obviously be GM-made so people can't just search it up, difficult ones where no one knows are the fun ones, instead of someone winning in like 1/2 a second.

Q/A because it's really the only one I have a shot at winning.

I only attend jump quests. The rest bore me.

I like jump quests, but not as an actual competition. I just go in to them and sit at the starting point and chat. It's like a super active FM 1.

I like every event that's not a jump quest as an actual event though. Chair races (red light green light) are my favorite, even though they can be INCREDIBLY frustrating if it starts lagging.

How do you not know the most popular event, Russian Roulette? I chuckled at the description.

I prefer JQs because I tend to be unlucky (1/9000 passes on 50/50 in RR) so if I want to have a chance at winning, it have to come down to skill (and lets face it, I'm a JQ God). T/F was my second pick, but it's really a shared spot with Q&A and Name the Item, as they all have some similarities, but T/F is just pure knowledge with a time limit so you often don't have time to look up the answer, and don't need to be a quick typist.

I also noticed you missed two fairly common event, Hide and Seek and Ola Ola, and also an option for Other, but rookie mistake ;)

Also, I'm almost certain Ola Ola isn't random. There are 5 different map ID's for each level, meaning 15 maps in total, and I suppose a GM could mix any of the three(?), but the correct route for that specific map ID is always the same, I think. My suspicions for this are the events already ending within 2-3 minutes of starting, pretty much how long it takes to navigate through all three maps if you pick the right portal every time, thus leaving me to believe some people already know the routes in each map beforehand. It's just a theory though, but it seems highly unlikely that they are all randomized, then there would be no use of 5 different map ID's for the very same map. Maybe take it out of the event pool?

Definitely Q&A-based Events, as well as Hide & Seek. Those were the ones I preferred hosting back in the day, too, just because it's not luck-based. People sometimes couldn't find the answer to my questions... Maybe a bit too hard isn't great, either.

And yes, @Manslut is right. There's several map sets of Ola Ola (4 or 5), some people actually know the sequences by heart or have them written down. The first map is a gamble, but once they know the first map, they instantly also know the second and third map, because it's always a fixed set of three maps and not 3 randomised maps, making it less luck-based than it is.

I absolutely love events where everything is based on luck/strategy. Reflexes was a really fun event and the same goes with RR because you can't 100% predict where the GM will be. I also find the recent Betrayal events really suspenseful and entertaining, especially when you see all of us running around to try and hide. :p

There are a few more events than those that are on this list, I would have definitely liked to see those included as well but I figured Jump Quests and RR would be up there (in terms of popularity).

Never been in one but the random chair drop wrecked the server with lag so i'm not voting for that.

None of them. They cost lag, d/c and there can be only 3 winner with chair as prize. People who participate gets nothing unless they are winner.

I like Jump Quests the mot because they are the most active and they require the most skill. I get annoyed when I lose something due to bad luck, and even when I win due to good luck it only feels heh. When I don't get Top 3 in a JQ I know it's because 3 or more people are better than me and if I do get top 3 I know I earned it and I'm happy.

Loner, because that's the first event I've won, the first place and who I am.
