Fairly recently, I traded my pet equips between characters, but now you can't. Whilst the autoloot/automp items etc. aren't an issue, the scrollable pet equips (hats in this case) are extremely annoying to have locked to one character, as if for example I scroll a bunch of 8 speed hats whilst trying to get a 10 speed hat, I can't use the 8 speed hat on another character, or sell it! Also, there is no way to get rid of the items, so if you're scrolling a bunch of them, your equip tab is going to fill up with undroppable items. I would like to see the reasoning behind the recent change, and what the theoretical advantages of the change are.
No changes have been made. Have you tried unequipping them, then changing channels and then trying to drop?
Hmm that's interesting, the items can't be dropped after unequipping until a channel change. Nothing to see here I suppose.
