Please Buff Berserk In New Source

    Before I start, I know that you guys said that you will be buffing skills for less popular classes in New Source, but I decided to make this thread anyway to bring up some nice points as to why berserk should be buffed to 40% for zerk 20 and 50% for 30. Also because "less popular class" can be a matter of opinion regarding Dark Knights, so I don't know if we fall into this category or not. Nexon buffed this skill for a reason: to make Dark Knights a little bit easier to play for everyone.

    A little info about Dark Knights; we are a harder warrior class to play than the others, we can't just hug bosses and spam pots, still maintaining our damage. No, we have to manage our HP, keeping it at a certain level, or else our damage is cut in half, making us worthless. I'm sure a lot of you know this, but it's a constant struggle. Dropping HP at zak isn't always easy once you go over that threshold. You usually have just a few options: 1. make sure your HP is high enough to walk into zak once, 2. Fully heal yourself and roar twice, this option is only really viable when there aren't too many of those floating mobs around, otherwise they get in the way of BMs and NLs, 3. just wait for zak to attack you enough and let your hp drop naturally, and 4. Use sacrifice to get your hp down to zerking range (very risky if a mob is anywhere near you and your hp gets 1/1d)

    I'd talk about Horn Tail here, but I have yet to go on a run. I never went on one in GMS, and I'm getting close to being able to go in Royals. Perhaps another Dark Knight who is more familiar with HT can reflect on this.

    It would help with training in ToT. Those enemies hit hard, making it a bit more difficult to zerk there for end game grinding.

    This buff would allow Dark knights who haven't washed as much to take a hit from BF while zerking and still survive. All other warriors can do this and not give a damn about what their HP is at aside from being full.

    All other classes get to use all 30k of their washed HP (if they washed, which almost everyone does), Dark Knights currently can't even use half of that. It would be more fair to let Dark Knights have just that little bit more HP so that the people who washed and the people who haven't (can't) wash as much can enjoy the game more as their favorite class. Our damage won't change from this, but we at least get to rest a little easier. Also, a fully washed DrK will be able to use 3 reindeer milks and have full zerking hp after getting 1/1d (of course, the extra 1 hp would make this a bit tedious).

    I also just want to make this clear, I have no problems currently zerking (because I am fully washed). I'm just saying that this would be nice for all Dark Knights in the server, both the washed, and the underwashed. If this is already in the making, that's great! But if it's not, I hope this thread can change your mind on this.

    There really is not any need. Drks can zerk at Zakum just fine, you only need like 12k with hyper body, which is our own skill anyway. I know someone who played his Drk and zerked bigfoot with like 200 hp at low levels. As for Horntail, you'll get hit for ~10k max (Legs?). Everything else hits a lot lower, just don't go tanking the body parts, that's not what we're about.

    For ToT training, well, it just sucks for unwashed Drks. If you want to be at ~4k hp and train there, fine. I chose differently while I had lower HP.

    As for 1/1, that's an issue for everyone, and with Achilles we only get down to like 200-500hp. If you have a pet that heals you, you're fine, just like any other class.

    Also, we have it easy when it comes to washing. We only NEED to do half of what others do to get to 30k hp, since we have hyper body 24/7. Also, it is almost never too late to start washing. I started at level 125, poured ~80 points into int +40 from equips, and with the discovery of MP washing, I got to 18750 by 153.

    Basically, If they buff zerk, cool. It doesn't need it, but I'll take it. A Drk can still zerk a lot of things without washing, it's just harder, and washing is super easy for us so there's really no excuse for to not wash (If you say 'but what if it's their first character,' this is my first and up until recently only character.)

    I'm not saying we NEED it parse, but it would be a bit more fair once you consider that we sink 30 4th job points into a skill that we need to have to be on par with other classes that get new fancy attacks.

    Heroes sink 30 points into ACA and Brandish. Mages sink 30 points into their Ultimates. Night Lords, TT.
    Drks, Zerk.

    Every class has skills they sink points into to be 'on par' with the other classes. We're one of the few classes that doesn't need a new attack at 4th job. Crusher works just fine.

    Also, Crusher is pretty fancy.

    If you look at the new source thread you'll see we're getting v72 skill table(some even later than that) and 50% hp for maxed zerk was already included. Hopefully it wasnt a misread on my part, but if it's true we're all getting a v72 skilltable set, then this thread is pointless. Thanks for pointing it out though just to be safe!

    the way they worded the update concerned me

    "Some handpicked skills of less popular 4th job classes have also received a v86 buff. You will have to wait and see which ones we changed though."

    yes, but at the bare minimum all will be v72. everything past v72 is 50% zerk hp so no worries comrade

    Personally, I don't think we need a buff. We are the one of the more popular classes out there and we can do just fine HPwise in comparison to rogues pirates and archers. However I want to address this post:

    Leve 1 TT is stronger than L7, Mages ultimate are thier best skill at level 1, whilst you can't really use Zerk untill it's level 30 just because of the massive decrease in HP, making it very hard to train effecitvly at third job without landing a Zerk 30 first, which might be very frustrating for DrKs. A 10% increase in HP would be a nice quality of life change, although not a required buff.
