What GM banned you (optional): Details: Jennifer permanently banned nigboiz: Hacking This was a ban appeal that my friend made a couple months back when I played with him. He quit Maple for awhile but recently, after I and another friend started playing, expressed to me his desire to play. To my knowledge and from his ban appeal, he was permanently banned for fast attacking and ban evading. I'm not sure if it helps, but I was skyping Eric when this happened. We introduced AZNBOIS, who was playing with Eric at the time, to MapleRoyals and the three of us were skyping. I was doing homework so I couldn't join them, but I heard Eric's surprise when he was banned. I'd like to let the admins here know that Eric isn't a hacker. It might be insulting to him, but he isn't smart enough to hack. At the same time, he isn't dumb enough to just copy some random code on the internet. Both he, I, and my new friend who played are avid Maplestory fans who wish to experience the pre-BB Maplestory. Although his ban appeal made what happened seem unclear, judging from the skype call, I can assure you that it was most likely due to lag. I'm not sure what Admin Tim means when he said that "Jen confirmed that she didn't mistake lagging for fast attack hacks on NIGBOIZ." In order to know FOR SURE that he was hacking shouldn't the admin be able to pull out a illegal code running in the background or an edited .wz file? I'm not sure where the MapleRoyals server is located but I myself experience lag. Here in Korea, all my friends who play tell me about the lag as well. And if it was confirmed, I'd like to see some proof too because at least to me, it doesn't add up. And I think the person who got banned has the right to see the evidence supporting why he was banned. Please don't take it the wrong way and think that I am attacking the admin. The admin in MapleRoyals work very hard in order to ensure that the community is competitive but fair to all Maple players. I am simply pointing out a possible misunderstanding. Additionally, I really want to be able to play MapleRoyals with all my friends. Please give it some thought. Thank you! It clearly states that only the thread must be posted by the owner of the account, so this ban appeal will not be considered. I will however reply to 2 of your comments, just to provide some clarity regarding his ban. Using cheats or hacks in any game is easier than you think it is, which makes me doubt he wasn't smart enough to know how to hack. All it takes is downloading another guy's Cheat Engine page, tick the fast attack box and try out the hack (to then get banned for obvious reasons). The GM who banned your friend was standing right next to him (while hidden) when he used his cheats, she was able to witness him hitting way more attacks per minute than he should've been able to. That's why your friend got banned, not because of lag.
Right okay..? But if he was using a cheat engine wouldn't you guys know by seeing his files or stuff? Also sometimes when the server catches up to speed during a lag (on my side at least) all the animations cast during the lag happen really quickly. Clearly, I'm not convincing anyone though. If you don't mind then, would you be able to recommend a mac-available private server? I'll be playing on MapleRoyals when I'm alone or with friends that aren't banned, but I just want to be able to play with all of them together sometimes as well.
