Hey guys i've been trying to play this server for a week. Played maple since it first came out, i'm an original player and it sucks nowadays. I WISH I could play this server but im having problems. First I couldn't download it, solved that. Then I couldn't install it, solved that. Now whenever I click the .exe nothing happens. Any ideas? Is there anyway i'm ever gonna get this to work?
Yes a couple times. I've tried rebooting, running in compatibility with all of the other versions of windows, running as an admin, etc. I've also tried lolwut.I've tried everything. If I try to start it and it doesn't work, then I change the compatibility I shouldn't need to reboot right?
Yes I'm on windows 8 and no there's no error message at all. I double click it, the usual prompt comes up asking if I want to run the file, I click yes and nothing happens.
Do Ctrl+Shift+Esc, click processes, do you see MapleRoyals.exe in the list? If so, end that process and try again.
Hmm nope no maple process running. I guess i'll redownload it and try again. If you have any other ideas lemme know and thanks for the help so far. Much appreciated.
Yeah, try reinstalling again. You should really be receiving some sort of error message when opening the game though... =/
Temporarily disable your Anti-Virus Program and whitelist the MapleRoyals file/folder, and re-install.
I don't have anti-virus, all I have is windows firewall and I already allowed it through that. (I do have anti-virus but it's all trial stuff that has expired so it's not in effect anymore.)
Trials versions are usually full versions of an Anti-Virus program, so when they expire you still have a basic protection against malware/spyware etc.
