Are you sure that these items did not also get duplicated? Because it looked pretty weird to have 2 of many exact same stat items in your merchant. Hi Matt! Well as I have explained to Tim and Creampuffs, I do not suspect those items because I scroll INT bathrobes and elemental wands to sell them and make profit. This is the explanation I provided Tim with in our previous conversation. "I was very clear about this with creampuffs. I scroll and sell elemental wands as well as int robes. I did have wands and robes of the same stats, but I did not suspect them to be duplicates, because for me, that happens a lot. I have sold multiple 15-21 int bathrobes, sometimes ending up with 2 of the identical items. Same goes for the wands. I'm guessing the duplication works by making one copy of the item (i may be wrong, this is the first time I have been in this situation whereas my items have been copied), and if thats the case, the fact that i have 3 21 int bathrobes of the same stats is proof, not 2. However, I was certain that my shield was duplicated, since I have ever only scrolled 1 maple magician shield with a 22 tma. I explained this situation exactly to creampuffs, a gm who responded to my ~gm about my items being duped, and she told me to just hand over the items that i was sure about that were duped, and I did. I gave her the 22 tma shield, and she thanked me for my honesty and left. So, yes I did contact a gm and followed exactly the explanation that was given to me. I had no intentions whatsoever to gain advantage over a server glitch, as I once read in a ban appeal that such action is prohibited. If you need any more information, please let me know. Also, if you think I am lying (which i completely understand because I've seen in ban appeals that many hackers have lied in the past), please verify with creampuffs herself."
I had gone to you after you had ~gm'd to which you claimed to have duped items. I then traded you and asked for the duped items and you had only put in a shield, anticipating more items, I asked if that was all -- being that in most cases there is usually more than one item. You had claimed that the other items had to have been yours but you said you were unsure. Going off of your uncertainty, I had asked multiple times about them but eventually you had insisted on the fact that you scrolled them. You then traded me just the shield and yes, you did, ask me if that was all I would need. I therefore told you that you should be fine as long as your other items are legit as you had claimed. I thanked you for your honesty (as I do with any other player who turns in duplicated items) and left to attend to other ~gms.
... I've calmly re read all the messages that you gms have sent me. I understand the suspicion, and that its natural as your job as a gm. But I notice a few things I do not fully comprehend. Firstly, I may be wrong, but it sounds like to me that you guys are also unsure that the items are legit or duped. Based on that assumption, you guys are accusing me for 1.duping items and 2. Taking advantage of the server? Yes, it is also true that I really don't have concrete evidence that I did not commit those offenses, but please try to think of the situation in my perspective. One day, I log in after the server check, and I see my shield duped. No. I didn't suspect my bathrobes or my wands because, for the millionth time, I scroll them and sell them. If you don't believe me in this part, I could give you some ohms in which I have sold my items. I had a duped shield for sure, and so I ~gmed it and turned it in. Then I went to my regular merchanting, and I dced, then got banned. I don't think you guys suspect me anymore for using a third party program to dupe my items, so I will skip to the part which you believe I have intentionally taken advantage over the server. If I were to take advantage, why would I pm you guys in the first place? And if I truly wanted to take advantage over the duplication, you think I would just proudly present them in my shop for everyone to see, especially at an Fm2 door spot? I know it's not good evidence, but I'm giving you everything I have to prove my innocence. If my assumption is wrong and those items in red turn out to be legitimately duped, then I'm really sorry for the inconvenience, and I swear I had no intentions of doing so. Christine, I do agree to what you did mention above - that is what happened and I was sure I was going to be fine. Though I don't recall you mentioning the fact that usually there are more than one item in these instances - not that it would've changed the outcome. After mentioning my uncertainty, i was told 2 things by you - just turn in the items you are sure that have been duped, and I would be fine if my items are legitimately mine. As for me, I've followed instructions and what I ended up getting was a ban. I don't blame you guys for doing your job, and I can understand why you are investigating me. But a permanent ban actually happening, after explaining everything I know? I just can't help to think that it's unfair if anything. I am willing to cooperate in any other way you need, but I really don't think I could be of help anymore - I've really told you everything I know. This is my 2nd day of ban and I hope this matter is resolved soon.... Thank you Andy
