With the new update most people selling leech in Ulu/Petri have transferred over to Skele leech, since it's now the best EXP 108+. Problem is that now it is completely packed with people. This new update has effectively taken everyone that was previously selling Ulu1/Ulu2/Petri Leech (which was already packed at nearly every channel) and thrown them into the Skele leech game. It is nearly impossible to find a map here now. Is it possible to implement a functional Skele mini-dungeon similar to how it was in GMS? This would make it easier for: 1. Players who want to actually train at Skele's rather than leech 2. Players looking to sell leech without someone creating a monopoly on the maps and selling them for 20m+ I completely understand spending some time to find a map but when you shift the entire Ulu1/Ulu2/Petri population into 20 Skele Maps (with an average population of 2500+) it makes training/selling leech very tedious and unpleasant. Wont be long until guilds/group start hoarding maps just for the sake of selling them or sharing amongst guildies.
There are many other maps that you can train or leech at though, granted they may not give as much exp as skele per hour but just adding more skele maps for the sake of every person who wants to leech getting maximal amount of exp seems kind of redundant when there are so many other options. With this update we will probably see an increase in skele leech prices, which means people can sell leech at other places for lower prices. I think it's a good thing to kill the whole ulu meta because it was dominating the game and might push people into other maps they havent explored. If you want the absolute best exp in the game per hour it should be competitive IMO... cuz if you just add maps for skele your every end game player should only train at skele,
+1 to OP I don't agree with taking away options from players without any sort of compensation in return. It's essentially just making the game less accessible to poor new players reaching the lower 100s as leech is more expensive and fewer and farer between. If you are going to nerf leeching meso per hr/exp at least make hp washing less tedious.
In a sense I can agree with you, maybe it's time to explore more places and let the Ulu meta die. The problem is though that plenty of mages have geared up to 1hit Petri and 1hit Skele. It simply becomes inefficient to sell leech for half the price somewhere else (while spending the same amount on pots) when you could sell at Skele. And remember, I'm not talking about "mild" overcrowding here. I'm talking about 20 channels being monitored/scouted 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
I strongly agree with this post. It was said by staff members a while ago, that fixing mini dungeons is on their agenda which was years ago. Maybe this is the perfect time to fix them? We just have to wait and see if people can actually find viable leeching spots. In GMS, people used Gallopera's (Gallos) to get to skelegons if I'm correct. It's actually relatively sluggish to use til 108 and can be dominated by Bishops (Holy weakness); so it doesn't really solve an AM's dilemma. I also don't want to sound like an asshat, but this is, "supposed" to be a nostalgic maple server - I don't think that there's many maps that people haven't explored/experimented with yet. I indefinitely know that ToT is slower than Skele's even if you are an AM.
Although I agree that Skelegon maps are currently overpopulated since the patch, I do not believe this warrants an immediate solution of opening mini-dungeons. Opening mini-dungeons would essentially remove any aspect of trying to find an empty map to train on, which in my opinion removes an integral - although not always fun to deal with - part of grinding and map-finding. The patch needs a little more time to settle, and we have plans to make some tweaks to some of the changes made, so let's see how things go after that!
