Hello MapleRoyals community! So I don't know if it is just me but, I enjoy the older version of MapleStory (pre bb) compared to what MapleStory has turned into now, with a couple of exception. 1 being that when I play the newer version I like how you can change the resolution in game, and everything is not so IN YOUR FACE. Like the title says, this is probably impossible..... I'm just throwing this out there to see if it is something that could possibly be done or not. and if it could, who would like this to be implemented into MapleRoyals.
Have you tried windowed mode? Edit: As far as I know, post-Big Bang Maple is programmed in a different language (I think it's C++) to this version of Maple, which is Java - so it's possible it could be tricky.
From a few quick thoughts even if it was possible we would need to get the higher resolution graphic for every single thing in the game. (I could be wrong). This would mean getting all the graphics from the new Maple (most of the new WZ's (or maybe just 1 or 2)) and having us have them as well. Then removing anything else that we don't want from the up-to-date Maple. As awesome as it would be it seems to get harder and harder the more I think about it. We can dream though
It is pretty much impossible. It's been brought up before and would require some quite major reverse-engineering of the client. And some source changes, likely some wz changes too. In regards to the above post, all the images would stay the same, they would just become smaller in appearance on the screen because the client would be running in higher resolution rather than the fat 800x600
