So for the entirety of my day, I've sent 2 times trying to download the game (three times as of writing this). I use a Windows 8 laptop (not the best kind of computer), and after having it downloaded by both Mega and Google Drive, I tired to click on the setup installer, but my computer says: This app can't run on your PC. To find a version for you PC, check with the software publisher. It then goes to deleting the setup installer on my desktop screen, wasting me nearly an hour or more of downloading the installer due to very slow internet connection. At first I realized it was because of my antivirus software (I use Norton) possibly prevented it from downloading, but the second time Norton seemed to have been shut down for a bit, but my computer still rejected it and deleted it again. Case in point, I want to know if I'm not the only Windows 8 user that's having this problem, and if anyone can, please help me on how this can be fixed, it's been going on all day and I want to enjoy Maplestory from its good ol' days .
Once Norton is turned off, Windows Defender tends to automatically take over (I use Norton as well and I've noticed this), so I'd recommend try disabling Windows Defender as well.
I did turn off Norton by: -Turning on Silent mode -Disabling Smart Firewall -Disabling Antivirus Auto-Protect -Manually disabling parts of the Antivirus and Firewall All for 5 hours. And Windows Defender is automatically shut off because of Norton (I checked). It may not just be Norton that's causing the issue, as my computer said that: This app can't run on your PC. To find a version for you PC, check with the software publisher. This may imply that Windows 8 can't really run the installer possibly because my computer hasn't been up to date or something. I'll try downloading the installer again for the 5th time to check .
