proper screen mode

    yet again I'm having problems
    I had to disable the windows defender so maple wouldn't delete itself and now when I try to go into maple this pops up
    Failed in finding proper screen mode for Gr2D
    I'm having so many issuesssssssssssss

    Make sure you run as administrator and in compatibility mode.

    You can run in compatibility mode by right clicking the client and going to the compatibility tab. You might have to click "change settings for all users" before it will let you change anything.

    Windows 98/ME or XP Service Pack 3 are the most common options.

    This will fix the "proper screen mode" issue.

    You may find afterwards that attempting to open the client brings up a message about a firewall/server check. In that case, you just have to try to open a bunch of times in a row - for some reason brute forcing your way actually works.

    I don't see the option for compatibility mode.

    Right click client > Properties (at the bottom) > Compatibility tab.

    I get this error sometimes when I have a dual monitor connected to my laptop. If you have multiple monitors try disconnecting them before you run maple - you can plug the HDMI cables back in once the game has launched.
