IGN: DutchBM Problem: Lost item from rollback Details: Dear Andreas/GM, Sorry for bothering you. I know you're very busy with the upcoming update. I have this thing that happened that I just can't get out of my head: There was a 3-day rollback on the 14th of june, 2017. I've scrolled my 14att 3slots sock on the 11th of june but unfortunately it fell within the 3 days for the rollback. I was totally broken at the time because I was told that I couldn't get a refund. You can find the thread here where I'm selling it back in 2017 and where Sila (GM at that time) told me I couldn't get a refund (page 3): https://royals.ms/forum/threads/s-red-sock-14att3slots.93100/ Now, a year later, this thing is still haunting me so I decided to look if other people got refunds for their rollbacks. And the answer is YES! The most important thread in my opinion is this one where a player called Nublet got refunded for his items he lost back in 2015. "So yes, though it's still somewhat difficult to contact a GM as we don't currently have a ~gm command, we have a discord server that works somewhat well to contact us in." 2. Selling leech is not even protected by GMs if i'm not mistaken, it's player vs. player arrangement. So in short, I still think it's weird that I lost such a great item (or lost 61 WS, because that was the offer back then) and that I see refunds everywhere for even small stuff like 45mil from selling leech. Could anyone (maybe Andreas because he also replied to the first thread) tell me if I can finally get a refund or that I should just continue my life as one of the unluckiest guys in Royals? I appreciate all the hard work you guys do by making this the best private server for most, but I do think you've made a minor mistake by not allowing this item to be refunded. Ya that I do know Kai, but do you understand why I need a bit more information about why they decided to not refund this but did decide to refund others. I mean, not everyone has proof of what they've lost so that is always a problem. I did, but still they decided not to refund me. I kinda need an explanation of this because you might understand that it's really bothering me that I've lost like more than a year of progress at my rate of collecting mesos. If it's possible, I would really like and admin to explain me this with some details. Thank you in advance.
during that particular server error nobody was refunded since we werent able to get good non-corrupted data to check on whatever was lost by people. Instead we offered all players experience and meso boosts for a set time to make up for the unforseen error while we increased our backup security and fixed what could cause that error. What you're comparing in your current thread is legacy mapleroyals with our old backup system (threads from 2016 and earlier) to your case in 2017 regarding a particular rollback (where nobody was refunded including you, as explained by Sila who was part of staff back then in your selling thread). in your thread 1 example we do still honor the threads that have a confirmed refunds that havent been claimed (from legacy mapleroyals pre new source) since we were able to confirm their losses from the data we had access to back then. you claim your sock went from 13 atk 3 slots back to 9 atk 4 slots so you didnt lose whatever you valued your sock to be at, you just lost progress on it which made it more valuable yet it still had a good value at the state you got it back after the rollback. Yes, thanks alot Tim. I guess I should just forget about it (although I've already tried lol). To clear up that last part. It went back from 14att 3slot (61 WS) to 9att 4slots. Then I went crazy and sold my stuff for 4 chaos scrolls. They all failed except one... +0... So with the costs of the chaos scrolls and the value decrease of failing them all, it basically is a difference of 61 WS. But that doesn't really matter anymore. I appreciate you took the time to explain me about the reason why I can't get a rollback. I actually understand now why it's not fair to refund me that thing.
