How many APs should I be having right now in total as a 144 lvl night lord?
Til lvl 200 I will be having 1010 APs in total to distribute, including the 10 extras that you get from 3rd and 4th job advancements,
not including the 4 base stats. So, if I do 1010-280(my missing stats til lvl 200)=730.

I currently have 713 stats in total, only including the 10 extras that I got from the job advancements. If the calculation is correct, which means I’m missing 17 APs. If it is, does anyone know what could be the reason why I’m missing 17 of them? Please let me know, thank you!

I think I did put some on hp for hp wash purpose, but I remember I used AP resets to take off the mp and put them on LUK afterward.

I'm far from an expert on HP Washing, and especially not when it comes to NLs, so I don't know what method you've used and what advice you've been given, but I guess you can check your AP simply by using an AP Reset now and try take out of MP (or HP if your MP has reached its minimum) and then add to LUK. If this is possible, it means you have too many points added in your HP/MP pool (For Dark Knights, and I guess others, this pool should never have more than 1 AP in it)

In the case that the MP has reached minimum, don't ACTUALLY use the AP Reset. Just wait until your MP has increased to re-gain that LUK

Yes, I see that I can take a point off of my hp and put it on LUK, which could mean, as you said, that I have too much points on my HP. The method I used is when I lvl, I added the point into my hp and washed my mp down to my LUK using ap resets. As how I saw it in the guides.. I remember that whenever I added lvl up APs in to my hp, I always used ap resets to take off the points out of my mp and add them to LUK, but yet I’m missing 17 APs, anything that I could’ve done wrong? Or is my hp washing method correct to use as a NL?

Well my lvl 174 pure int bs has 888 int, i.e. you should have 888-5*30-4 (not including base)= 734 stats?

My calculations give 740 AP + some from 3rd and 4th job advance (which I forgot how much it is)
    Calculation: 25 AP at Lv.1 + 5 AP per level. 25 + (144-1)×5 + x + y where x is AP received from 3rd job and y is AP received from 4th job.

However, this is not the question of this topic anymore. The question is rather: How should a NL who has point added into HP transfer them into LUK in the most efficient way.

EDIT: So I read a bit about NLs, and if I understood things correctly, the only thing you need to do now is use an AP Reset and -MP +LUK. Repeat this process until i can't be done anymore (should be when your MP has reached [(14 x 144) + 148] = 2164 or you ran out of points in HP). If the MP stops you but you still have AP in HP, then level up and try AP Reset -MP + LUK again.

Thank you for all the replies guys, and the extra aps you get from 3rd and 4th job advancements are 5 points each which is 10 points in total. Not including the base 4 stats, I should be having 1010 APs in total to distribute by the lvl 200. So what I did was 1010 - 280(my missing stats til lvl 200), which gives me 730 aps that I should be having as a lvl 144. I’m just a bit confused because everyone got different answers and I don’t know which one’s correct..

And also, taking off a point from my hp and adding it into my main stat which is LUK, using ap resets. Can this be a option too? And when I get to the point where I can’t take off anymore of hp to add into my luk, does that mean I have a right amount of total APs? I just want to know the right amount of total aps I should be having right now so I don’t add too much points on LUK even when I’ve already reached the right amount..

If your MP is higher than your level's minimum MP, and you STILL CAN'T do - MP +LUK with AP Reset, then I believe your HP/MP pool is empty and therefore you need to ADD 1 HP before you can use AP Reset to do - MP + LUK.

There should never be a case where you have to REMOVE HP. At least not if I've understood things correctly
