A question on advancing late - I am playing a new warrior and the quests leading to Victoria leveled me to 12. Have I lost any notable amounts of HP that might affect me in the future that I might need to restart my character?

For skills once I hit 12 it was 5 into improving HP recovery and the rest into improving max HP.

Wondering about this because I've not managed to find any good information on how the HP per level thing works :s

You missed out on, idk, 5 hp from leveling as a beginner instead of warri. You are not missing out on any skill points

From lv 10-11, you would have lost ~12hp (beginners get 12-16hp on level up, whereas warriors get 24-28 hp on level up without maxHP skill). At lv 11, you would have 4 skill points in "improving HP recovery".
From lv 11-12, you would have lost ~12hp and with the 3 SP at lv 12, you would unlock maxHP skill so the skill will actually contribute to your hp gain when levelling from lv 12 to 13.

Total lost around 24 hp on avg which is negligible when you have lv 10k hp at the start of 4th job. It's also easy to restart if you think the time investment is worth the 24hp.
Note: On the upside, you gained around 6 more MP per level up as beginner (beginner gain 10-12mp on level up, whereas warriors get 4-6 mp on level up)
