Hey, i have a 81 lvl priest with 38 luk (clean). Do players on this server usually play with a low luk mage? And if there is a good guide that explains how much to increase in stats, what to buy and more information.
Almost all mages are (close to) lukless since Luk yields no increase in damage and the elemental wands require 0 luk. "Meta-gear" such as a zhelm/scartar hat. Ellin/Quest Medal and all the rings will increase you LUK allowing you to wear lower level Mage gear. Most will easily wear a Starlight wich likely is one of the more cost effective overalls to scroll. If I am not mistaken its the first Mage OA to give both LUK and INT. Around the same LUK requirements you find the first Mage Gloves and Shoes yielding INT wich are significantly cheaper than a similar Yellow Snow Shoe or Yellow Work Glove. Also they are very easy to farm yourself! Also the same for shields. Esther Shields drop from Heal Weak mobs and go up to 7 INT. If you want to continue upgrading your mage the Manute (Gloves) are the first glove that yield INT and LUK and the Lapiz yielding INT, LUK and Matk. You can ignore the better overalls or upgrade to Anakamoon or Enigmagic wich are abundant/cheap enough to buy and scroll. However it will be harder to find a good scrolled one compared to the lower level overalls, so you'd probably be scrolling your own. ANYWAY, tl:dr Yeah, 4 Base LUK completely fine. (I am 4+92 on my mage atm)
