From what i have read in the previous sources i've searched, it says that it's better not to join a zak run whilst using Mac OS. Is this true and do i really have to use my bootcamp to zak instead.

Apparently there are many disconnection issues with bossing for Mac users. From what I know, my friends run parallels or VMware to be able to boss.

Is it possible to run on bootcamp though. I don't wanna screw my laptop up by downloading VMware and what not.

Yes, it is possible to run on bootcamp.
And yes, Zak on Mac will crash sooner or later
