Hi guys, I'm a Lv 63 Cleric and I have 37 SP. Around Lv 50 or so I stopped putting SP in my skills since I maxed out Heal and MP Eater, I have some points on Bless, Invincible, and Teleport. There are no points in Holy Arrow. I did this because I have decided to only farm mobs to 70 and that buffing only myself won't do much. The main reason I haven't been putting in SP is because by the time I hit 70 and Job Advance, I'll have 59 SP. Then I want to put in 3 SP for Dispel, 30 SP for Holy Symbol, for fastest leveling process as possible. That leaves 26 SP available for spending. 1 SP for Shining Ray for mobbing, and after that, I max out Bless, Invincible, and Teleport for the remaining 25 SP. However, I'm not sure if the game stops me from allocating SP (or something) earned during 2nd Job to my 3rd Job skills after Job Advance, since the people in Chief's Residence say to "make sure your SP has been thoroughly used" and "you'll need to use all of the SP earned until Lv 70 to make the Job Advancement". (I have trust issues with these kinds of things) So will I not be able to Job Advance if I don't spend all of my SP? Or will I be able to Job Advance, but can't use my SP for either/both Cleric and Priest skills? Or will all of that not matter and I can just continue my current plan without worrying about any sort of restriction or consequence? Sounds nice, but the system isn't so stupid to let you abuse SP like that. It legit won't let you advance if you have sp leftover. Resetting after you've advanced won't work either because the sp reset won't let you move 1 point from 2nd job skill to 3rd job. Only from 2nd to 2nd or 3rd to 3rd. Yes, that also means if you screwed up and put a SP you earned during 3rd job into a 2nd job skill, you're not getting it back to put into 3rd job skills again. You might be able to appeal to GMs for that on forums but I don't think I've seen any of those treated favourably.
