Welcome to my event database thread!
This is a place where I post my original ideas as well as
some creative events made by other Royals!

    Disclaimer:
Not all of these ideas are mine. Where credit is due, I shall give it. Also some events posted here are for educational purposes only, and are most likely already hosted on this server. These shall be organized accordingly.

    Original ideas by Raddy

    Last man standing:

This event is traditionally done in one of the ludi fm rooms, but we seem to have none (besides fm7), so I'm working on finding a good place to do it. I like to take credit for this because I made it up when I was 12, but I'm sure someone did it before me.

Click here for the ideal fm room

See how the top platforms are just little tiny surfaces? That's what we're going for. There are 5 rounds. Warriors, Thieves, Mages, Pirates and Bowmen. (Since it's kind of unfair to the big classes, there are other ways to divide it, but if you don't divide it, it's nearly impossible.) Lets say it's the thieves' turn. They will stand on those platforms and the gm's will spawn the JQ necki's that don't miss all over the platforms. Whoever is the last man that hasn't fallen wins. After all 5 classes have gone, the winner from each class faces off in a final round for the grand prize, and the losers in the final round only get a small prize.

No one ever listens to me:

An event I made up in TetraMS. The GM will stand by an npc anywhere in the world and quote them. Ex: "I wonder who can bring me some red envelopes." Answer: Mr.Moneybags. The name comes from nobody really knowing which npc says what. Whoever goes and stands on the correct npc first wins.

    Prisoner (Hide and Seek variation):

The other GM's and I in TetraMS did this instead of hide and seek. It's the same thing, except a gm will hide the corner of a map and announce a diary entry. Ex: "Dear diary, it's so cold here. those stupid snowballs with eyes keep looking at me and getting to a portal would mean climbing up 7 ladders." That's a really easy one btw. But then the soldier (another gm) would be standing in the town map of where the prisoner is hiding. The purpose of this is to speed up the event, because once one person sees the guard, everyone migrates there.

    Loner:

I made this up after one of the GM Hide and Seek events. All players are put in a decently small map. The object of the player is to get as far away from every other player as possible before the 20 second timer runs out. When the timer runs out, all players are stunned and the GM determines who the loner is. This event is meant to reward small prizes and have many rounds.

    Betrayal Q&A

This is a competitive one. All participants are warped to the OX map. (It is suggested that you mute all while a question is being asked) Then the GM will as a question (General Knowledge or Maplestory related) and whoever whispers the correct answer to the GM first wins. The FIRST time a participant wins, they openly announce who they want to kick out of the event, and then said person is kicked.

So you would think that laying low until the end is the best choice? Maybe not. The SECOND time someone gets it right, the GM doesn't announce who it is, and that person can anonymously kick someone out. This takes some work, GMs, but it's a fun time.

    Elite 8:

This is for the true event kings. Q&A is played normally for 10 rounds. Once you get a question right, you're safe and you don't answer any others. After 10 people are saved, all but those 10 are kicked out of the event. Then 3 more questions are asked to the remaining 10. Whoever gets the first question right is saved again AND gets to kick out another winner. The person who gets the second question can kick anyone out but the first winner etc. This will narrow the field down to 8 players, and then they all participate in a winner-take-all JQ. This event calls for big prizes.

    Follow the Leader:

This event works best at the Pet Park in Ludi. The GM hosting this will start by seducing everyone to the wall, then standing on any platform he desires. He will then tell you how much time you have to get there, however long he desires. When the timer runs out, you are stunned in place, and if you aren't on the platform, you are kicked from the event. Then the GM moves to another one. Could be higher, could be lower, and sets the time to however long he desires. This goes on until there are 3 people left, and all 3 win the same prize

    iSpy:

I know what you're thinking, but trust me, this is a really fun and kind of chaotic event. Like the event above, it is meant for small prizes or special occasions. The GM will take everyone to a town, a big town, or just a big map (Kerning City is the traditional map) The GM will say "iSpy something.... (color, description, shape etc.)" and the first person to find what they see and sit down wins the round.

    Reflexes:

This should be held on a small map, preferably the OX map. The GM will create 3 etc items (new item each round) labeled with their name, and drop them around the map, 5 at a time. When all 5 are dropped, the 5 people who picked them up get to eliminate someone else publicly. This keeps going until there is 1 winner. PETS ARE NOT ALLOWED.

    Ideas from the Royal community

I will be going around asking for permission to use other people's events here before posting them.

    Race to the GM (illuminate):

Players start at one side of the map (commonly on left side) and work their way to the GM (right side of map). The obstacle is that the GM can seduce or stun us, sending us back to the left side of the map but, to prevent that we would have to sit down on a chair. Curses should be random, keeps the players guessing when to sit.

    The Basics (non-original)

    True/False:

There's a true false map (OX Map) that the gm's tend to use a lot. The GM asks a question and you have 10 seconds to either go left (true) or right (false). The gm then stuns everyone and kills the side that got it wrong, and it keeps going until there is a winner.

    Hide and Seek:

Different from GM hide and seek where the gm's try to find you. The GM will hide somewhere on victoria island (to make it easier for everyone, since there's no global teleporter) and give a hint to where they are. First one there gets the prize.

    Russian Roulette:

Probably my least favorite event. The GMs warp you to a map with a couple of platforms. The GM hides on a platform and then sets a timer. You stand on one, hoping it's not where the GM is places. If it isn't, you go on to the next round. If it is, you're out.

    Super Mega Mini Games!:

You will want a LOT of super megaphones for this one. The GMs will either ask a question, sing the first line of a song and have you name it, do a hangman board... whatever they want. First one to use their super megaphone to answer it wins the round.

I like the last man standing, but I don't understand the class division, or at least the point of it.

I don't get the Anne Frank one, Anne Frankly it seems kind of offensive and not that good of an event anyway.

The last one about the NPC is pretty cool.

The class division is to make it more competitive. People would complain that they couldn't see themselves because there were so many people. It's easier to divide by level, though.

    And LOL Anne Frank puns.

No, that's what we did. There would be 300 people participating and no one complained. You can name it what you want, it's just a way to make hide and seek go faster.

Ive got a great idea for an event:

    GM Defense:

Set-up a map so that there are lanes and the gm is at the very end. Monster/and/or bosses spawn and walk down the lanes, it is our job to defend the GM if the monster/and/or bosses reach the end, than BAM nobody wins prizes, but if the maplers are successful in not allowing the GM to be touched, the last 3 standing win prizes.

To make it diffiicult i guess you could give us no HP pots or Mana pots and make it kind of like CPQ where pots drop from monsters

The event can be set-up so there are level ranges blah blah blah get creative, you get the idea. :)

That's a really creative idea! except it would be unfair because hyper body is op and higher level people are bound to win

Maybe, they can disable HB and other skills alike somehow, but the Level range hopefully would help with that.

The only thing that bothers me about this event is it's name. I'd be happy if you'll change that.

Perhaps the coders could create this into a PQ? Having a GM there doesn't matter, and then the level of the players won't matter. Just make it so all those surviving after the waves of mobs win. I still like the idea of having to protect something, but there are other mediums than a GM that can be used.

Custom PQs please, it would greatly improve the server!

I do agree with you, but they need to fix the existing PQs before they'll make their own.

You should include illuminate's event idea (Race to the GM):

    http://royals.ms/forum/showthread.php?t=4482

Just to make it a bit more organised. :p

I like the ideas in general, but some of them aren't particularly new (*cough* T/F). It'd be a great thing to add some diversity, the current Events keep coming back.

What I always did back in my RydahMS days was a combination of different events. Create, for example, 3 stages: One JQ, one puzzle (which could be the NPC-guessing thing for example) and one Hide and Seek. This is just an example; you can combine a lot of different events. With this you can make a "Stage winner" prize, too, where the person that clears one of the stages the fastest gets a prize.

I love seeing people, especially newer people like you, take such an interest in making the server even more fun to play. I hope to see some of your ideas (I personally love the NPC-guessing event) put into practice soon. :)

I don't know about this one... The Betrayal Q&A that was tried a couple of times was great, but this event seems to be dependant not only on reflexes, but also on latency and therefore location. People far away from the server have a higher latency, which leads to reduced chances of being the first to pick said item up, even though they might've been the first to actually try and loot it.

The iSpy one seems like fun though. :)

    Couple of things today

First: I am proud to say that "Betrayal Q&A" has been used almost 10 times since suggested :) I'm really glad the players and staff like it.

Second: I am looking for other people to contribute to this list (and recieve credit of course) so please pm me either here or in game.

Third: Unfortunately, the GMs have pretty faulty commands. The stun/seduce/all that stuff.. well... they can't use it on one person or a few people, they have to use it on the whole map, and it's only temporary. From what I understand this isn't an easy thing to fix. So until then, I can't really come up with any ideas, but expect 10+ once the commands are fully functioning.
