IGN: Gabimaruu Problem: Random dc during daily Ellin Forest bosses Details: Crashed while fighting Ephinia, around 06:10 server time 03/12/25 Pretty much just as the title says, a few notes - It only started the past few weeks, if I had to guess it was sometime after the Halloween event rolled out. It is random, it doesn't happen every day and nor every run (out of the 4 daily runs combined between ephinia and chao). It happens ONLY on my shad, I run these bosses daily on shad and dk but never had this issue on my dk. It doesn't happen in other content, for example questing or daily papu, no problems there. I have the dump file if it can help I can upload/share it, let me know.
About the mentioned situation Any error messages upon disconnecting? Did you feel any lag, or it's an instant disconnection? You mentioned the issue started around when the Halloween event rolled out, did you equip any new NX/RP around that period?
Hi Dave, No error when the DC happens, just sent back to the first login page. No lag before that, instant screen flicker and DC. Only NX item I changed was my pet equip on snail but that was after this happened a few times so I doubt it would be that. The snail equip was replaced with another snail equip just scrolled better, so idk if that counts as equipping a new NX item.
I haven't asked anyone, also don't recall anyone talking about specifically shad in ellin boss fights. Random disconnects during bosses I was aware of of course like most people, in in-game chat and discord/forum messages.
Will check with the Staff team about this Do you recognise any pattern, such as specific skill usage right before disconnection? (Smoke Screen, Assassinate etc) If no, what skills do you use in bossing usually? Trying to identify the pattern, as such disconnections could be caused by specific reasons - can be specific NX/RP - can be specific skills - combination of the above-listed
Thank you Dave, I always open with the dark sight>assasination>boomerangstep macro. Pet is as I mentioned above, a snail with transparent pet equip, pet didn't change, pet equip was replaced by the same one with better scrolling. If I'm not mistaken the dc is always on the first hit on the boss.
Have asked around, didn't encounter any other Shadower with the exact same issue Have you tried a clean install? Uninstall > reinstall PC > reinstall Note: for the uninstall, please ensure the entire folder is removed to ensure no corruptions
It has been almost 2 weeks since the last crash, nothing changed on my end, not sure if it is somehow resolved or not. I will try a fresh install next time it happens if it does, will update here.
