I need to kill red drakes for flaming feather (I think that's what it said) but cannot find them Google suggests the deep down the ant tunnel but I can only find copper and ice drakes there, no reds at all and I've been all the way to the Drakes Nest . I've checked all the maps around Perion but can only find drakes there (I forget if they are drakes or copper drakes but they are certainly not red drakes!). I've searched the forum and can only find other people asking the same question.
I'm pretty sure there's no red drakes on this server. You can get flaming feather from Selkie Jr.'s at MP3 or GS5 - both in Boat Quay Town in Singapore.
there are red drakes in this server, they are found in a hidden street on the way to the dungeon via perion if you are online now you can msg me ingame on swanky and i can show you where
Thanks, I'll check them out...wherever they are! I'm still pretty new here and the old grey matter isn't as good as it was so I only know MP3 as a digital music format and GS5 is a complete mystery! That's why I'm having so much fun though - learning and exploring new parts of the Maple world

From perion u need to go the portal at the bottom. Can confirm red drakes do exist. I hunted there for hours.
A fair warning, their spawn rate is pretty bad... and the drop rate for flaming feather is beyond aweful. Maybe farming in mp3 can be better due to the better spawn rate and map structure, idk. Anyhow Good Luck and enjoy xD.
Agreed. Mp3 is far far superior to farm flaming feathers. Unless you're also looking for items only dropped from fire drakes (eg blaze capsules)
Thanks all, I'll try and find the drakes at Perion and give that a go 1st but will go to MP3 (Wherever that is!) once I get bored
Confirmation that there are indeed red drakes at Perion - Dangerous Valley II is the place to go and this is how to get there (not my video!)
@Dave Paramour , MP3 = Mysterious Path 3 that's in Singapore maps. And yes, flaming feather regularly drops from the monsters at MP3. The spawn rate is definitely better than Red Drakes too.
5hrs, 2 levels, 6 sets of steelies but 0 flaming feathers and 0 glass shoes. I'm enjoying it though so will keep going for the moment @zoeng Thanks for heads-up about Singapore, I don't remember it at all from the GMS days so maybe it's new, I know they expanded it quite a bit from when I used to play 15 years ago!

IIRC according to the monster book, Red Drakes don't even drop Flaming Feathers Selkie Jr. however is noted as dropping it Now the monster book might be inaccurate or not count the flaming feather for Red Drakes if it's considered a Quest Item, but then I recall that the quest in particular that pointed me towards Red Drakes (Manji's old Gladius, I believe) was able to be completed with a Flaming Feather I got from the Free Market (and thus cannot have been a Quest Item). If my suspicion that Red Drakes don't drop the feather at all is true, it's a pretty annoying oversight that Mike the Security Guy tells you to go hunt a monster all in vain, made worse by the fact that some items (Glass Shoe, Ancient Scroll) are also in the game with a ridiculously low drop rate, so a player could always assume they're just being unlucky rather than at the wrong place altogether.
