hi all I am not certainly sure if this has been asked or stated before, but I want to know what's the special reward cake boss Daniel gives us when we exchange (40) red birthday boxes. two of my friends said it's the 3 carats ring... and I honestly can't find a proper adjective to describe my unconformity if that's the case. ever since the event started, I've set up my alarm in order to attend every cake boss I can (luckily, I've had these days off from work) regardless of what character I am focused playing on from time to time, I always participate on events with my main, Javier (when there are actual newly added prizes) I, on that character, have mostly all of the seasonal event's rewards from the past 3 years, including chairs and such. reason I include that, is because it's starting to feel underwhelming if the actual 'final prize' for this anniversary event section is the 3 carats ring. this last one being an item obtainable solely by valentine's event. it's an one-of-a-kind item. meaning we cannot equip/have more than (1) per character, as it is untradeable. and I assure most of the people playing as of late, have it too. I want to know if this special reward will be this very ring, or not. and if so, will there be an option to transfer it to another character, or any other special feature us old term characters have an advantage of getting it at least? (I'm aware that the ring isn't the only reward we are aiming for. each red birthday box gives a lot of new rewards as well) (((I understand the server wasn't in an optimal state back in february in order to add said valentine's event, with said reward))) (((((I also understand there's plenty of time to enjoy the event))))) — but all of us have other real life issues that somehow collide with our playing time, most of the time. just so I know so I can stop setting up my alarm and trying so hard to attend cake boss so desperately :/
I'm sorry it affected you this much and our intention was never to hide what the prize was, and the ring is the one you are given through the Valentine Event. Since we were unable to give it out before we thought it was better to give new characters the option rather than wait an entire year. There's nothing more interesting to the "big prize" than the ring. I added some basic text to the NPC and that 's hopefully more clear than saying nothing.
We're looking into another possibility of a prize for anyone who has already obtained the ring from previous years, but no guarantees yet. Though I do want to mention that it has been this way for every previous event - I got the 2 carat ring on my main NL two years ago from the Valentines event, same for the pumpkin ring at Thanksgiving, and every year following it the reward has been the same. I knew going in last year to the Valentines event that I wouldn't get anything for the 30 prize turn in - the rewards from the presents themselves are worth attending the event for. In this case, the possibility of scrolls that can be worth 300m+ as well as pyropes and new chairs are what would make the event worth attending for in my opinion. I'm almost at 30 something kills myself across three characters each, two of which have the ring already.
no worries! I appreciate it! now I know I can try to get it on another character instead now : ))) indeed, my priorities are chairs as well. the ones I've gotten so far are the new ones. 'new' as in not previously released, so I guess I've been lucky with that after all. and yeah, I was wondering about the final prize because the ring has always been a valentines related item, instead of an anniversary one. however, I know it's potentially the best item to denominate as final prize, giving new players the chance to obtain it due to the lack of valentines event these past months, as Andreas said above. that's great. thank you both for the feedback on this subject.
