Hello Royals. I seemed to remember back in the GMS days that climbing up ropes with haste also increased the speed of climbing the rope. In Royals however, haste does not seem to effect rope climbing speed at all. Could we have it so that haste enables faster rope climbing again? There are lots of training areas that utilizes ropes and climbing them is already really slow.
Just out of curiosity, are the developers aware of this? Would it be possible for me to get some information as to why speed is unaffected when climbing?
From what I can recall, Haste did not affect ladder/rope movement speed. Something like that would be client-sided, and would work automatically if you had the Haste buff applied to you (rather than having the server have to do something special to cause it to work). In fact, it wasn't until after Big Bang (with the introduction of the Mercedes class) that a skill was introduced that does that.
