After revisiting the RG feedback thread I wanted some of the forum community’s feedback and experience with solely the bee exchange system.

Ifia Ring Box: 40bees 200 burning Energies

Golden Apple: 6 bees 1 onyx apple

 

Ring Box: I can't afford either the bee price or the burning energy price. I'm only getting 10 burning energy per RG boss, map 3 is disgusting for ranged and no one wants to LHC with ranged classes so yeah. I think the price should be cut in half for the bees, definitely cut more than half for the energies. I think doing one full RG run for a ring box gacha ticket seems fair to me. It's still going to take like what a good 50-100 tries for a good godly ring? I've gotten 50+ rings from just doing RG and only ONE of them was godly (HP and MP godly doesn't count).

Golden Apple: No content where this is ever regularly needed. Rather spend a couple minutes finishing my boss drop lotto. Really only see this item as usable if you're running VL and like 3 people DC at the end, though people usually save up a couple gelts for emergency situations.

 

I bought like 5 ring boxes on shad, got 7/2/2/2 and 6/6/2/2, would buy again but maybe on a str class next time.

Tbh unless you're maxed on like all your other untradables it's probably not worth to buy boxes. Gapple is extremely overpriced considering VL pot and demon elixirs exist, so I'd call it useless.

 

I said before, you want to add a couple of minutes more duration to the golden apples, maybe make them attractive, and since they are non-transferable, they are not marketable and depend entirely on the effort.

 

Damn thats actually insanely lucky rates on the boxes, now you’ve probably convinced 3-4 unfortunate souls who read your post in trying their luck

I agree with both comments from you and Omega.

There’s way too many attack pots right now anyways, I don’t think there was a need for gapple really, people usually are very good w their gelt management to last them a while, and if not, there exists narc/VL pot.

You only ever use gelts really when a VL run is failing and you need to salvage it with 1-2 gelts. And a lot of us make like 50+ easily ea xmas

 

Yeah it's quite lucky, too bad they both had bad luk rolls on shad...


For those reading, ring box costs 200m (and some burning energy, which the value of greatly depends on the player). It's strictly worse than krex ring, which generally is sold for 40m. So if you're not buying krex ring or running krex twice a day for rings, why are you buying boxes? (Assuming you don't already have a well scrolled godly krex ring)

 

There are sometimes ranged-only parties, aimed primarily at NLs. I have gone on my Sair a few times, great fun, and I strongly recommend it!

If you are SE, then some melee parties will take you too. When I'm recruiting, I consider including up to one SE. Even though your dps is a bit lower than melee, you increase everybody else's damage with SE. I doubt a diligent SE is worse than a lazy melee, or one who "sneakily" doesn't actually apple. It all evens out in the end.

A bit off topic, but gotta promote LHC inclusiveness!

 

I would also like to just point out, this is not a flame towards any staff and especially not the game balancers.

Balances and game additions are not dictated solely through them, and to be honest, they could have suggested a lot of things we may have liked that were overall voted against by the entirety of the staff.

 

yeah i think the only people paying 200m a ring are rich players looking for those last few upgrades, not worth otherwise imo

 

I understand why staff doesn’t want to load up BE onto the boss. Can we get a BE drop rate increase from room3?

Melee classes already can do golem lhc and room 3 easily, it would greatly help the ranged class players who invest time into room 3 for BE.

 

I would put myself in the semi frequent category as I'm sure there's not many people doing the ring exchange - I've done about 15-20 ring box turn ins but stopped because I started focusing on different content, but I will return

The value of the ring is going to change depending where you are at in the game and how much you're willing to spend for the chance of an upgrade. I don't think viewing the ring as a reliable upgrade is the way I would approach it. I think RG is already high value content and drastically increasing access to this ring just adds further gap between other content and RG. The only changes I would advocate for would be either lowering the burning energy cost slightly (maybe 150-180) or adding burning energy to the other bonus rooms to make it a bit more accessible to non-melee classes. That would still make it a ring box every 2 days but put less strain on your burning energy supply when it's already being used for a majority of the VL items. There might be good arguments for why burning energy only drops in the last room, I haven't kept up with the main feedback thread on it so if I'm overlooking something by all means point it out

I haven't purchased any Golden Apples as I don't find them worth it for basically any scenario, it's a cool item but other than that it's just kinda dead content

 

I think the main issue is there aren’t more of you, people willing to sacrifice bees for the ring box, thus reducing or slowing down the meso deflation.

Since the exchange rate is as awful as it is, nobody outside of people such as yourself would do it consistently.

What I would describe people like you as:

• Spending 200m is not an issue for you as you can make that mesos elsewhere relatively quickly/reliably
• Barely have any other perceivable upgrades left so nowhere else really to spend it on
• A stinky Nightlord player so the Miwok Rings blows ass for you, and tbh, they’re not that great on shadower either

I think especially the lack of efficient stats on the Miwok ring really locks NL into the Ifia Ring.
