Hi all. The Rush skill on my Drk Rebellious is broken. I have it assigned to my "F" key and it is unresponsive. I have tried switching it to a different key and also relogging but it still does not work. When i double click the skill under the Skill page it does not prompt my character to use the skill either One thing that may have changed since i last used my rush skill was that I used the Character Fixes - Unstuck thing on the website today. Thanks and Happy Royaling Edit: Also it seems like my Monster HP and Name is not showing up properly too. I've tried playing around with it in my setting and now neither will show up for me Edit2: FIXED! See replies below on how I fixed it!
I specifically remember the rush issue happening to another player. I even logged on their account and was able to use the skills fine. He did not ever get back to me to tell me how he managed to fix it. I did not know that it could be related to the Mosnter name/hp, but it seems as if it is... http://www.basilmarket.com/forum/18...Crossroads_Monster_Names__HP_not_showing.html I have heard that reinstalling does not help. I think that this means that some data is stored in the registry which might be broken. That is a complete guess though. So what should you do? Probably uninstall the game completely, and then run a registry clean up, then it might be worth opening up regedit and searching for mapleroyals/maplestory to see if there is anything left which could possibly need removing, then reinstall the game...
I just ran CCleaner and it did find some MapleRoyals related stuff. I'm downloading the setup from the website now to redownload the game. I'll let you know tomorrow if/when I fix it with the steps I took for future reference Thank you Matt!
Usually when you can't see Monster HP and name, you need to update your graphics drivers. That always fixes it for me. I see no reason why that should affect the Rush skill, though.
I fixed it! Whoo! I've never been so happy to hear that rush sound effect in my life. Here's a step by step on what I did: 1. Uninstall Mapleroyals 2. Run CCleaner to clear registry 3. Ran regedit and searched Mapleroyals only to realize that I didn't want to poke around the registry and delete anything and break my computer >.> so I didn't touch anything here lol 4. Reinstall Mapleroyals via the setup downloaded from the site 5. Struggled and failed to log on and realizing that the "Register IP" button had disappeared from the site -panicmodewhatdoidonow- 6. Calmed down and replaced Mapleroyals.exe client with the one Matt released on 1/3/2014 (http://royals.ms/forum/showthread.php?p=23337#post23337) 7. Logged on (finally) and realized issue was not fixed 8. Played around with my Windows Updates and Device Manager page in attempt to update drivers (but failing to cause there seemed to be no available updates) 9. Thought to self: screw this I'm restarting my laptop 10. Laptop restarts, logs on, Rush fixed, Monster HP/Name display also fixed! It never occurred to me to restart my laptop earlier, that may have been the issue too (laptop is always on, it's probably bad for its health) but anyways, managed to fix it!
