Hello everyone, Im here to suggest announcing maintenances atleast 4-8h prior to it happening. Reasoning is FM spots. I play alot Royals and therefore work hard for 1-1 spot, when I usually reach 1-1 I lose it due to maintenance happening when I sleep. Problem here is not the maintenance itself, its the fact that I dont know theres one happening. Total it has hapoened 3 times in 2-3 months where I just lose my spot when I was asleep, that means I get no heads up to set up my alarm at night (I know, am hardcore). If there was a notification 4-8h before instead 45 min, it would immensely help alot other active players who have no life and want to work hard to maintain their good spot with preplanned alarms and activeness.
One suggestion would be varying maintenance times because keeping to one timeslot means certain timezones are pretty much guaranteed to unable to try for spots each SC.
Seems kinda excessive that the Staff would have to schedule their maintenance for the sake of FM spots though
Thats the diff, noone knows me IRL, I do stuff but due to ADHD I get hyperfocus sessions. So im kinda stuck in loop rn.
Not schedule, i mean let people know beforehand. Not 45 prior it happening. Just 4-8h notice would be nice to set my stuff around it.
You can watch the announcement section to receive a notification / email alert when a thread is made (click here to active it). This usually gives you a 1-3hr warning when a server check/patch is about to hit. Due to the nature of server upkeep and various bugs that might present themselves randomly, I don't think it's realistic to expect a set schedule

My suggestion is the opposite of needing to schedule... no need to fix it at the same time every time. They did have a few midday SCs in the past but I don't see them anymore.
The person scheduling the maintenances is just one person, kind of hard to cover all timezones equally. I wished we had more notice too, the rest of us on Staff only know I think maybe an hour or two before it becomes public knowledge. We usually wait for things to seriously break to do maintenances like for example VL bonus room channels didn't respawn the bonus rooms so we did a SC mainly for that among a few other things. I don't know the full thought process behind scheduling a SC because that's for the Admins to know, and we usually don't know about it unless it's a broken issue that needs a SC to fix it. One notable thing that happens very rarely (and randomly) is Guilds breaking. I don't know what causes it, but Guilds will just simply disappear and show everyone as not in a guild, obviously that needs to be fixed asap so we would schedule an emergency SC usually an hour after it happens to give those time who are doing bossing time to finish their bossing. In short, we can't really guarantee a scheduled maintenance, the most we can really do is give a decent 3-4 hour notice in advanced, sometimes even shorter if the issue is an emergency.
