I made a joke saying that I hacked, which ended up in me getting banned for making a "believable claim" Ban message when attempting to log in: This is an ID that has been deleted or blocked from connection. What GM banned you (optional): Kai I fully expect this to be locked with no resolve, but I've got nothing else to do but try... As I stated before, I made a joke when I was bored at work (on break). I was joking around with someone on the shoutbox, talking about the server being wiped, and I said I didn't care if it got wiped because "I hacked to level 73". The context was stated as a joke, and after my ban appeal was closed, someone in the shoutbox even said that they knew I was joking. I'm just upset at the fact that it's not even being investigated into. I clearly said that comment as a joke, and the context can show that. I've never hacked on MapleRoyals and never planned on doing so. I spoke to another GM, Yamir, and tried to explain my issue regarding it. I said multiple times that I was going to kill myself in the shoutbox chat as well, and no one took it as a 'believable claim' and offered support, etc, which is their choice, but you would think that if someone believed what I was saying, then they would raise concern. Which is why I'm making this second appeal in hopes of different results... I was only joking about hacking, I was joking about killing myself, and others knew that...But I was still banned due to it being a 'believable claim'. I'm not trying to say that Kai is wrong, but I just feel like I wasn't given a chance to defend myself. I know what I said was wrong, but I only said it in a joking manner, but it clearly wasn't taken as a joke by the staff. I don't know how detailed the logs are, but if possible, can you please look into it. I've literally only leveled my hermit 2-3 levels within the past few months, which was from leeching. I just started to play again, and began to level my cleric from 48-50 at Coolies, and then got banned for what I said. If you look at my account, you can tell that it's not (what I believe) a hacker account. I don't have stacks of ETC drops from one specific mob, I don't have massive amounts of equips, I'm fairly broke except for getting a white scroll and selling that a few days ago. I'm kind of embarrassed to even mention this, but hopefully this also helps with my case to prove my innocence. I had an issue before when I couldn't kill mobs without dying, so I literally went out and bought a new laptop just to play MapleRoyals on when I'm not on my gaming computer. I don't use my laptop for anything else other than Youtube/Netflix, and MapleRoyals. - https://royals.ms/forum/threads/still-banned.107573/#post-593752 I spent $700 on the laptop so I could play specifically on this server while not on my gaming computer. I would be an idiot to hack on this server after spending that money just to play. It's not like I'm just saying now that I bought a laptop just to play as an excuse to get me unbanned. I made that post back in October and will gladly show my bank statement of the $708 that I spent on the laptop if that helps prove anything. Here's the image of the person in shoutbox saying that they knew I was joking. - I didn't realize that there was a major hacking issue on this server, otherwise I wouldn't have said anything. I wasn't trying to be a dick or anything like that, I was simply on break, at work, and extremely bored so I was joking around.
Unfortunately, I'm not the only staff who decided that your ban shall remain. Like I mentioned in your first appeal, it was an unanimous decision among the staffs that your ban remains, including opinions from the admins. It is also unfortunate that you mentions things like killing yourself (and debunking it as a joke later), as I believe there are players (including me) here who have lost friends and family members to suicide. So it's also very insensitive of you to make such jokes. I'd also like to point out that no matter how humane I wish I can be, I'm not obligated to offer any form of support, simply because it's not within my job scope as a GM. And in the event, assuming, your claim of killing yourself is real, and that players/I provided the wrong kind of support, then players/I'll have to live with the fact that they/I may have caused the death of a player. However, when it comes to claiming to violated certain rules of the game, I have no choice but to enforce the clause on "believable claim", which is why you're banned, and will remain banned.
