if someone is sure they want to make one of these characters, add these checkboxes during character creation DISABLE all trade DISABLE picking up all item drops other than monster drops DISABLE any chat DISABLE fm DISABLE fastpass/vip rock DISABLE going outside victoria island DISABLE hpwashing DISABLE cashshop DISABLE all party buffs, or better DISABLE party system DISABLE getting leech exp from partly killing a monster, you only get the exp if you attack 100% and get full white exp just a few ideas to start, have a lookup table to check which char has which restrictions checking a box will disable these feature(s) until when/if you click button to remove them have a one way, final button to remove all restrictions, this will mark the character as a totally normal free player i think right now you guys just rely on honour system to see who is ironman and what kind, it would be better if they had a credible way to tell others "yes, i indeed have never traded and have never been to fm! just look at my restrictions!"
These gamemodes are community based and no official mapleroyals content. What you describe requires a lot development time. At this point there is no plan to make such a system.
I love playing challenge modes, and although it would be cool to have limitations imposed, the honor system works pretty good since the main reason for playing this way is for the community. It reminds me of when I was testing a friend's board game design, and I said "Isn't it kind of easy to cheat with this game mechanic?" and he said "yeah don't play with cheaters "
they haven’t had a ranking for 10 years, i don’t think they’ll implement ironman mode sadly. just do what i’m doing and record every play sesh and upload it to youtube. if anyone has any doubts you have proof
Good advice right there! Spoiler (Not that anybody else really cares whether or not you are playing your Ironman character 'honestly', just like they don't really care who does or does not have a Royals gambling problem)
